Just wondering when the virtue system will be FULLY up and running? or was that canceled?
Arrrrr, methinks a Knight of Spirituality mayhaps could see special 'ghost' questgivers! How about with Spirituality we get to transfer to other shards...once twice a week? Long shot?
I don't remember exactly how it was said, but at one of the town halls this last summer... something to the effect of that after SA is released, the UO team would be revisiting the virtues in the future.Just wondering when the virtue system will be FULLY up and running? or was that canceled?
Care to explain exactly only good for role players, exploiters, and farmers and nobody else??? Particularly interested in hearing about the exploiters and farmers, mind you. Because after looking at the abilities, I fail to see how any of them would only be good for role players, scripters, and farmers. They are good for everyone! Resing people with health (compassion), resurrecting yourself (sacrifice), summoning a champion (valor), protecting people to get PS's at a spawn (justice), walk amongst monsters without being attacking for a brief time (honor). I will assume that no response means you have absolutely no explanation.THIS virtue system should be completely dismantled. It is good for roleplayers, exploiters, farmers, and nobody else. While I have nothing against roleplayers, the other two categories do not meet much of my sympathy.
The real problem of the virtue system is that there is nothing virtuous in achieving them. I really think that the system should be much more focused on NEGATIVE actions instead that positive ones. In essence, that means that if you do an UNvirtuous action once, you lose half of the virtue you have gained. It is easy to be virtuous when it suits you, and pretty easy to farm a "virtue" against mobs and then being the most unscrupulous noto-pk. What the game needs is to enforce continuous application of virtues, and those focused around player interaction more than on mobs.
And those unscrupulous actions that give advantages in fight should be strongly penalized. Poisoning your adversary? There is no honor in that. Stealthing around? Pretty coward behavior. Stealing? Unjust, and dishonest. Killing people, or even some monsters? Pretty uncompassionate (this one leave much space to boost the healer's role...). I could go on.
Conversely, you are an outlaw (red) and consistently stick to a code of behavior, such as 1v1 dueling, open fight, no poisoning? Some virtues such as valor and/or honor should not be not unreachable to you.
No need to be rude. I would usually have gladly answered to the question you posed with "sorry, I should have explained better". Instead, I will answer that you should read the messages you reply, or stop trolling.Care to explain exactly only good for role players, exploiters, and farmers and nobody else???
