Hey guys!

I haven't been into the pvp scene in a while, and I am thinking about getting back on the ball. This new faction stuff looks kinda fun, so that's what I'm going to be going for.

The problem is, I think my mage templates are a little outdated.

First, this is a necro mage I was working on -
Evaluating Intelligence 120.0
Meditation 120.0
Necromancy 120.0
Spirit Speak 120.0
Magery 113.5
Magic Resistance 110.0

And I also have a pure mage -
Evaluating Intelligence 120.0
Magery 120.0
Magic Resistance 120.0
Wrestling 120.0
Meditation 101.0 90.0 (101 with +11med scrappers)
Inscription 100.0
Chivalry 50.0 (I wanted to remove curse)

Would I just get destroyed in factions? I don't know. I see a lot of tamer mages and tamer archers? I'm kinda thinking it's a "if you can't beat em, join em" thing.

So I'm just wondering, does anyone have a good mage tweak recommendation? Will I ever have a chance against the tamers? And hey - if anyone is having fun with a pure mage, or a necro mage, please say so! Would be cool to hear what kind of mages you're all playing.

Thank you for any input. :]

Temps are fine, just make sure you load yourself up with DCI (also you'll want a mage weap on that necromage) As far as tamers go just para the pet, kill the tamer, invise self and continue=>

Eeek! I hope your going for 120 resist... If you dont have the skill points to get it thta high, drop necro down to around 105-110.

I play 2 necro mages, 1 red 1 blue, i have a blast on them. I seem to fight better on these then i do on a tactics mage. Go Figure?

Necro mages have been more powerful than tactics mages for awhile now.

Yea, though just my general survivability is much greater, even without disrupting the opponent i can heal alot better, and im using the exact same suit for the 2 temps.. lol

Those templates are great.
Use the Pure as a healer and the Necro as a killer.

Just build a suit up with DCI (40+) and as many stats as you can get.
LMC, mana and health regen. The usual.

Drop scribe on the pure mage and get GM+ parry and 60 dex.
(80 with pot then and thats enough for max parry chance)
Now with new faction items its easy to get around 60+ dci so do that.
(45 dci is cap yes but you can counter HLD with higher dci)

Now you got a very good teamplaying mage! not for solo as you won't do the best dmg. But in teams you survive and can help kill/heal...
