There are already a lot of threads with the same subject so Joanne, would you please explain to the responsible people whoever they are that this is a fun-killer of first degree. This is an online-game so a good connection server-wise is absolutely vital. No poor excuses that EA is broke please.

There seems to be only a very small window in the early morning when the pipes into EA aren't maxed out.

(I'm not seeing packet loss yet, but given I'm seeing symptoms where the ping time rises quickly on the routers into EA until it seems to hit a limit then packets start being dropped - my ping time is averaging 116 right now (from a low of 23 I witnessed a couple of nights ago) and if the pattern holds I'll start seeing packet loss when it hits 122)

I have got to say that I am increasingly attracted to the proposition that UO customers are being squeezed out for, say, Warhammer customers.

If this is ridiculous, then by all means Mythic people come on and say so.

Curious to know if Warhammer customers are seeing this lag also.

I did a little research and I believe the Warhammer servers are hosted on a different network - as far as I can tell we're not competing with them at all for network resources (but we are sharing our line in with a lot of EA's web servers)

(oh - and as predicted above, I'm at 122ms ping and now 4% packet loss )

Nope. Warhammer is just fine.

Then again I havn't had any lag problems like many others as well. I live on the east coast and play west coast servers. I ping an avg of 120.

I actually ping in the 50's until I reach San Jose. Then I jump up to 120.

east coast to west coast seems fine.
I ping around 60's w/ no packetloss to west coast, from northeast ohio, while I ping 130+ to east coast with packetloss.
Debating x-fering to pacific or some other west coast shard untill they fix this...lol

Right. I get no lag with LOTRO but when I log into UO I do. So it is definitely not an ISP problem. BTW, there where some lag issues before with LOTRO (especially in the beginning) but as soon as players started to report it, the customer service immediately reacted. Subscribers were even given one free month.

(Note for flamers: No, I don't want to play LOTRO right now. I want UO. And please consider: UO is not a free browser game or something. It's a commercial product which I have payed for. I pay even more for UO than LOTRO. Go figure!)

Just a quick note I have no lag in the early hours of the day but will not limit nor change my real life to accomadate playing to this time only!
