Threads of life and cloaks of corruption

They have said that the threads will be used to enhance the Cloaks at some point.
We do not yet know the details or the time frame.
You can also turn in the threads for a quest in Magincia.

Will only the threads of life be used on the cloaks? Or will the other threads also be needed for them?
