Currently 4 active invasions on Origin

I think I found a key snippet of information for figuring out the cause of cities showing they're invaded, but not having a crimson dragon.

There are currently 4 cities invaded on Origin.

Yew Falsehood
Britain Hatred
Magincia invaded, but no npcs
Moonglow Falsehood

Yew and Moonglow do not appear to have a crimson dragon. I paged a GM to see if they can confirm that a crimson dragon exists for either town.

Britain and Moonglow both have crimson dragons in them.

I think the bug causing 4 cities to get invaded is linked to the bug where cities don't have a crimson dragon.

There was a similar issue over the weekend on Cats:
Two cities invaded (first Minoc/Yew, then Yew/Vesper... etc cycling between Falsehood and Cowardice)
Moonglow invaded (Hatred), but no enemies to be seen and no CD.
Crimson Dragon in Magincia for at least a week.

And still no-recall into Trinsic.

And while there are no invasions, multiple cities still have their possessed NPCs.

This is, in all seriousness, the most broken crap I have even seen in UO since 99. AND they took an extra month or 2 to get it out!! AND on top of that they had a freakin SHARD to test it for MONTHS!
Pathetic.
I just can't wait to see SA.

MoonGlow been stuck that way for 2 days

Brit the crimson has just vanished was there Sat killing KK members now its gone but lots of (hatred) still around so i assume its just missing not dead

I think we need to cut the devs a break on this one. The reason it took 2 more months for the devs to work on this publish is the same reason why there are still bugs in it.

It's extremely complex.

Players can interact directly with the invasion system and when they do it changes a lot of things in a lot of places in the game.

Just off the top of my head, player interaction can change
Escort zones
Guard zones
Housing placement rules (a rule has to be interactively tweaked to turn off guard zone, but still prevent house placement)
Limited Invasion trigger (supposed to just be 3, but 3 specific invasions)

Also, with these things triggered by player interactions, there are a lot of test cases involved.

My point in this thread isn't to bash the devs (I like the devs)... It's to gather more information about the problem so the devs can fix it as quicky as possible.

I'm a programmer irl, and if there's one thing I know about bugs it's that it's a lot harder to fix a bug if you don't have a lot of information about the bug. I hate when I get a bug report where someone say "yeah, this thing doesn't work" and they don't give me any information about what thing doesn't work and what they did that broke their thing :)

I had the maginica invasion pop up Friday night on Origin while I was killing corrupted souls...ouch.

yew doesnt seem to go active moonglow was once mayeb twice
britian is very active also trinsic spawns its just they dont spawn fast enough hehe

If your question is directed at me, I'm not sure what the cause is, but there was one too many cities active last night and the 2 that were for the same shadowlord did not have a crimson dragon.

I posted here to see if other shards were experiencing the same phenomenon. The more we can learn about this problem the easier it will be for the devs to fix it.
