Ever solo'ed a Skel lich?

I tried, spent 30 mins beating the spawn down then attacked, took another good 30 mins and it was close to dropping and some asshat comes in and drags all the respawn down on me and dissapears, kill the respawn and try again and the same guy from the koc guild on europa does the same thing again. A total griefer who yells at my ghost "noob". Koc's like this really should be banned.

To a Trammie, entering Fel means acknowledging that they may be attacked freely by other players. It seems awkward to most of those who come to reap the rewards of this risk, like bonus resources and power scrolls.

But they never tell you that upon entering Trammel you acknowledge that since everyone is invincible you are prone to a multitude of griefing tactics that in Felucca could have been solved through killing.

That is the "Risk" in Trammel I guess? :(

Many, takes about 5 minutes with my archer. I do hate when someone comes running in with the spawn at his/her heels. Then dies or recalls out.

Repeated behavior of this type, especially if there is verbal taunting involved is called luring and it is illegal in Tram, provided you are not infracting any of the rules yourself you could, um, page a GM.

Area peace works wonders against people that try this as well if you don't have much luck in the paging dept.

It is the role of the person being harrased to leave and not let it grow, so nothing will be done...

Not everyone has area peace...

I've soloed one once, with my paly archer hehe took me about 20 mins and i was luck to have it only once teleport me.. to a safe spot thankful so i didn't die :D

I managed to solo one once on my Warrior, took maybe 30-40 mins, due to lag and rubberbanding. I'd die halfway across the graveyard from it and pop up next to it as a ghost lol

See with my bard I dont have this problem. I actualy keep lurein spawn over to the liches to help me. I guess theres no better trammi fight than a bard. I used to have trammi fights alot with spawn luring kill stealing and all the miriad of tramel "greifing" untill i made my bard. Now the bard wins hands down. Tramel fights are the areana of the bard and will always be won by the bard.

When terathon keep was intoduced I always had problems there with lureing and invising and the like pinning me behind a wall of terathons (in the basement). Thats when i made my 1st provoker. Woot! I was hooked right there. Since tramel came out, I have been able to utlize the same basic idea to win any situation where a greifer was useing the ruleset to be obnoxious.

But back OT. My bard solos the GY spawns easy. They arnt the easiest discord around but it does make a big difference. And with my new spell book(conjuorer) they are even easier! In fact during peek times i try to stay off set from that group of players all following the gate opener to get ..."extra credit".

I've soloed many, using a Mana leech Long Sword, with a relatively standard (no Bushido) paladin. I just run back and forth through it, hitting it with an armor ignore every 3 seconds.

I soloed one with my Paly/Swordsman. It took about 15-20 minutes because of the 50+ hits, but the rest of the undead was very light.

I would think it would have been easier with an archer.

I do not believe this information regarding harassment to be correct. I will try to find something more substantive to edit in.

From EA support, not that these are always the most up to date but it is in print and available:
If you are being harassed, the first thing you need to do is ask them to "please stop". If they persist with the offending behavior after you have asked them to stop, page a Game Master immediately using the appropriate Harassment option, Verbal or Physcial.

When you do this, the most recent portion of your journal, in the case of Verbal Harassment will be sent to us, and we will review it for Verbal harassment. Do not wait until they are gone to page us using the Harassment option, as only the most recent portion of your journal is being sent to us. In addition, do not log out, log back in and then page us. Doing either of these things will either erase the journal, or result in a journal that does not include the harassment. It is important to note that Game Masters cannot see your journal in-game.

When you do need to use one of the harassment options above to report a player please always include the following in your petition for assistance.

* Character Name(s)
* Offending Behavior
* What you did to resolve the situation. (Recall, Placed on ignore, left the area etc...)

We strive to provide a fair and level playing environment for all our players, and we hope that we provide consistent support for everyone. Rest assured that each and every help submission is reviewed fully.
Now, it does list leaving the area as one of some possible courses of action for you to have performed so as to not further aggravate a situation. I have seen nothing to support an exit as mandated. Anybody else have further information on this?

Generally, I myself will find another place to hunt, because we have so many choices, and I am not uncomfortable in fel. But younger and newer players, rare as they are, may not have the information resources that I have. Therefore, their options would be perceived as limited. We don't want to spoon-feed them, neither do we wish them to think our world is populated by insensitive morons, who run unchecked.(marketing insert here)

Of course not everyone has area peace. I was merely making the point that, as usual, more than one solution can be found to a problem.

Jesus Christ, how do you guys get by living in the real world? Are you rolling around in a plastic bubble with a tea cosey on your head and oven gloves on each hand?

You call that griefing?

Stop being a *** and do something about it! :sad3::sad2::sad3:

Well, I've not seen noto's of this particular variety in a very long time in fel, where one could indeed take matters into ones own hands and at least have the satisfaction that something could be done.

Whatsa matta? You don't want fresh blood in the playerbase?

Alas, in Trammel you really can't do much about that but leave and come back.

My experiences with other peeps with the skelly lich on Sonoma have been actually very positive. Everyone is courteous, does their share to clean up the spawn and nobody is all like MINE MINE MINE MINE

yet.

Not TEA! That could make us trammies burn our tongue. Nestle Kwick. Oh and PBJ with the crusts cut off.

Yes, what he experienced, compared to the DLD, was pretty minor inconvenience indeed. But being an ass is still being an ass.

Soloed heaps with my archer, nps. :thumbup1:
Me too. This is a monster thats pretty easy to take down with a pally archer. Even the summon isn't that bad as long as you keep on your toes and keep healed.

Really the only pain is the fiends showing up, and the guys who run them past the dexxers.

I've solo'd tons of em. I like to use a bard mage. You can solo them on dexers, but they're clearly easiest on an archer (they're a joke for archers)

Tamers can solo them too.

Yes, he is pretty easy to solo on a mage.

Something tells me you aren't using a regular old school mage.

Instead you're probably using a necro/mage or spellweaving/mage, etc.

I tried killing one in Fel with my red mace/tactics/mage....... Didn't go so well.

pvp chars are generally not good chars to choose for pvm. For starters, it's pretty safe to assume that a mace/tactics mage won't be using a slayer spellbook. You might have a hard time doing enough damage to a skel lich to make a sizeable dent without one.

When I use a mage, I use 2 different kinds of bard/mage and it works quite well. Neither build would be any good in pvp against anything except tamers.

I have a few PvP chars that soloed the liches just fine, but unfortunately that red tactics mage is my only char on Origin. I was bored and wanted to see if I could kill one on that shard as well.

My point of course was that anyone saying it's easy to kill with a mage is more than likely talking about some mage hybrid, not a pure mage. Thanks for confirming that :)

My mage does pretty well against them using evs, granted without lich form even at max lmc Id prolly be shafted. Takes half an hour to down one.

Total noob question, but what on earth am I doing wrong? I have a pally/archer, was using undead slayer and he kicked the heck out of me. I finally just quit and left what he looted off of me on him.

Flora, be sure you're using Consecrate weapon and enemy of one. W/out consecrate, on my archer with a heavyxbow showing a dmg rating of 76-90 in my status bar I do a measly 12-15 damage w/out Consecrate. With consecrate i'm doing 85dmg minimum each shot, and with bushido LightningStrike have crit for 279.

Be sure to keep moving and keep consecrate weapon up. What kind of bow are you using?

It was just a basic, undead slayer with a couple decent mods. I can't seem to find the good one I had tucked away. Using consecrate and EOO I was doing around 60 damage. I'll go shopping and see if I can come up with a better bow. I'll also alter my suit a bit to get my resists up.

T

As long as your resists are 60+ across the board you should be fine.

Unless you're soloing him then 60 dmg a shot isn't too bad ( in a group setting )

I just got another tali today and I got busy doing something else while fighting in a group and didn't have consecrate up the whole time and I still got a trinket.

My heavy works well because it's got 40 life/mana leech, 40 ssi and 44 DI on top of all my DI items, 115 tacs and 100 anat.

Either use a fast bow like a magical short w/DI or a heavy hitting faster one like a 35SSI xbow. Also, bushido helps a lot with lightning strike allowing you to get critical hits. Mine do an average of 250 per crit hit. With only a few people fighting the lich I can usually get off 8 or so crits before it's dead. And that's at 103 bushido.

I think the other poster answered you pretty well. As long as you're hitting hard, you shouldn't have any problem dragging the skele lich down.

EOO & Consecrate weapon are a must.

You also need to wear enough resists on your suit to survive a solid smack.

The rest is just a time game. It's harder on an archer with the lich teleporting back to the GY (kiting em all over the place was very easy), but it's still doable and even easy if you have the right gear.

I must say i have tried mage pure mage that took ages and was rather anoying to do. tamer safe but slow, wraith archer wraith mage both worked ok but die to easily with my lag when it teleported me not having a swampy was the reason i believe. yes i have all 70's suits on all the characters i play its a must in my books. but the best character to do them solo with i find is vampire bush archer or vampire bush dexxer 2-4 min a run 100-300 dmg lit strikes 100 avarage 200+ on criticals mana leech stamina leec ssi and hci dci all as high as possible for the most part. I just clear all the spawn i dislike, like the shadow's and armor's out of the yard. Lure them off to the middle of nowhere and recall back to have a yard full of gouls skellys and the lich. Mostly i stand in its face with my dexxer and use momentum strike to refill my hp if it hits me and lit strike the hell out of it i admit i have to run off one or two times a battle to heal they hit very hard but for the most part i sit in its face and smash it :) archer on other hand i just run around and lit strike it rare my archer has a problem.

I dislike doing skel lich solo w/out a group due to it's mad physical damage and the fact you never know what spell it's going to cast right after a hard hit....

I've be killed one too many times by a physical hit, then a quick FS/pain strike.

I prefer bushido/archer, even w/out wraith or vampire form. As long as your bow has mana leech, I never run out of mana for LS and I just use bandies and confidence for healing.

That's about what I do dmg-wise, and I have no problem soloing the Skelelich.

But I also use Mischief Maker, and with Divine Fury, I fire them off almost end to end, and it chops him down quick.

Its more than just damage, though, you gotta learn how to "dance" with him. Like most AI in the game, the path it pursues you is pretty plain after some observation, and you should have the timing to stop when you are due for your next fire.

With all of that, the only thing you need to worry about is that pesky summon he does, which isn't an issue outdoors (sometimes when he does it inside a tomb, you can get pinned). As long as you keep your health tip-top, this is a minor annoyance at best.

For the spawn, remember that the fiends do an area of attack when another monster is nearby... and it stacks. So when a bunch of foolios manage to bunch up some fiends on the Skelelich when fleeing.... break off your attack for a bit. Otherwise the next summon will give you an instant dirtnap. The spectral armors (and sometimes the brigands) can be ignored for a few moments, but you should lead them away or take a few minutes to deal with them. The other undead you probably could ignore all day.

Another thing I've noticed about the Skelelich is that he won't heal himself unless he is in dire straits. I whittled boney down to half life, took a break to clear out a few fiends that were hounding me, and came back like 3 minutes later to find out he didn't heal at all.

Anyhow, you'll get into the groove. Remember that high damage isn't as good as slightly lower damage when you can get in twice the shots.

That's been my experience as well.

On the characters I have used to solo the lich;

Bushido/Chiv Vamp Archer can solo them in less than 5 minutes.
Tamer/Mage can solo them in about 10 minutes
Chiv Dexxer can solo them in about 5 minutes
Pure Mage can solo them in about 2 days

They take about 2 minutes on a necro/mage. Just put a fence between you and it and try to stay within two tiles so it doesnt suck you in and spam on it. Ive gotten 14 books and 6 talismans and only spent about 8 hours total farming them. Marked 4-5 runes to beable to be continuesly fighting them

I solo them on my Paladin Fencer. As long as agood part of the surrounding spawn has been taken away, using an all 70's suit and undead slayer trinket, then they take at most 10 minutes with EoO and Consecrate. Not even any need for Sammy skills, or specials.

With decent DCI and 120 Parry, as well as 120 resist, I can toe-to-toe them for a good few hits, at 60+ a time. If I get hit, retreat a few steps, heal up, max stamina, and repeat. It's just a case of old-style lich hunting - run in, hit, step out, step in, hit, etc.
