Kickin' it with Sickie in Khaldun.... or... have you played Sicarii today?

As I posted in another thread, I got five gossamers in relatively short order, in my first go-round with Sicarii.

I got five gossamers and then I decided to go bank them at my house. When I got back I was distracted by some guild Crimson Dragon fighting for a few hours.

So I go back to Sicarii to get the rest of the gossamers. I find her there just hanging out. Alone.

Over the course of three hours, last night, not a soul showed up. I naturally can't solo Sickie, especially when my aim is to farm gossamers (easier to target her spawn).

Is everyone just done with this quest? Why the big drop-off?

Same here. My character still is logged out in Sicarii's cave, waiting for company to fight her. I guess people probably prefer to hunt Skeletal Liches, instead of hunting for spider webs.

I wont come and help players kill her now because it's not fair that others who really want the web can't get one. You players need to learn how to share so other can finish thier quest.I see players casting ev's and fire fields stopping new players from getting the gossamers .

You might find yourself alone and I hope you dont find yourself looking for a rez once you die.Sorry to say but you might find out sharing is always better in the long run.

I was in the same situation last night. I just farmed the drones and collected their gossamers. I managed to collect enough to finish three webs. After about an hour, some folks did show up for the main hunt. So I was able to finish my webs for two characters. Evryone left before I could get the third character prepared. Maybe tonight I'll get as far as I can in the quest with as many characters as possible. Then just roll through them with a handful of pots and soulstoned hiding.

Um, I haven't gotten 10 gossamers like I'm assuming you obviously have. So my quest isn't done.

I'm not farming the gossamers for any kind of profit, I just want the rare that everyone else has gotten, then I'm done.

Im talking about players that are farming,the ones you see all day in the same room.I would like more than one but to me one is fine since its very hard to get the
gossamers when everyone else wants 60 or more per account.Even more if they have more than one account.

Ok, fair enough, I took the original reply in the wrong context. Yes, farming players who plan to sell it to other players is fine... until they start to interfere with players who genuinely want to do the quest themselves. And it happens too often lately.

I wish I had your problem. What shard is this? My niece and I tried it last night on LS and there were sooooo many people there that I never once got a chance to even target, much less kill any of the little spiders.

Unfortunately the people there didn't seem to keen on sharing the kills so we logged off and went to Magencia.

I am trying to get as many webs as possible but I won't interfere with anyone who is trying to get their first. After that I think it's free game on the drones. Last night was one exception:

I was in the room alone and an archer pops in and hides. Just as I meteor strike a fresh batch of drones. He proceeds to cuss me out for it and tell me they were "his" spawn. Usually a little conversation in situations like these will straighten out any mis-commounication of motive. So I ask him if he is trying to get his first web and how many gossamer he needs. I had more than enough to complete the quest for him and would have gladly gave them to him.

But in the end the conversation never evolved past colorful words like "wus", "Noob", STFU and the ever so lovely coup de gras "lets take it to fel". I spent the rest of our short time together quietly indulging his anger and teaching him the power of AoE vs a single arrow on critters like these.

Maybe some of these drones should find their way out into the rest of Khaldun to give folks the chance to farm gossamers in more than one location.

That's why I soulstoned over necro and SS and dropped my provo that I used to help make GY's easier for ppl. Gotta be selfish and have the best template made specifically for halloween if you want to compete with the farmers.

i could only WISH for a deserted sicarii room, so maybe i could get the gossamers. aboo is right, LS is a zoo! and some chumps are just sitting in the corners by the webs for hours on end farming the little spiders making it very hard for the others to get a shot at them. i have 1 web because of it. i'm not much for deco but i like the webs and was hopong to at least get a couple 3 more ...bastiges!

Anyone having trouble getting gossamers, go to fel. Not a single person there. Bring a bag of sending, and farm as many as you want. I was able to get 70 gossamer in 45 minutes in fel.

Dont have to worry much about pk's as they would have to do the quest to be able to get in there.

You can farm the sacks on any character that can summon a creature. The gossamers drop on triggered spawns that are triggered by running near one of the egg sacks in the room.

I was on a mage when I did it. I tossed a couple of ev's for sickie to play with and then ran a lap around the room and hid. Then I just opened up on the spawns with meteor swarm and looted. You have to be careful, cause sickie may try to web you. Keep your distance if possible.

If you have a stealther on a 2nd account it would be even easier to loot the gossamers, but I didn't have any real trouble on a mage.

If you don't have a summon, you could use a library talisman to summon an orc brute and try that.

I'll let you all in on a secret now that I've made my fortune on these things,


The Terathan Keep spawn in T2A (tram/notsure about fel) spawns the same drones that drops gossamers but of course theres alot of other stuff to fight to get to them but they drop and no one was around and I've managed to sell off over 500 so far. Later on you can catch my book "How I made 150mill gold in 2 days Halloween 2008" useing a simple archer pally/samurai template.

I was outside the entrance in T2A didn't even bother to go into the keep much there were 10 or so spawning just outside

Any idea the time frame? My niece and I went to the swamp area inside the keep on my lunch hour and during that entire hour maybe only a handful spawned while we were there.

I've been gathering them up all times of the day, the spawn gets alil crazy at times so I don't pay attention to how many how often. I just keep killing and keep checking corpses. I'll spend and hour or so come back with 20-30 sometimes I'll only come back with 8-10.
