Blackrock found.

My friend and i found 2 little pieces of blackrock around Yew while fighting Demon Invasion.

Any ideas?

someone got looted while trying to blackrock the spawn(which i haven't been able to do) by a shadow fiend or spectral and when it died it dropped it?

that's my only idea, i haven't seen any.

Yes. My friend did ctrl-shift and said to me there was blackrock. She picked it up and then we found a second one at same place.

A few months ago I picked up 1 of maybe 20 vendor runes in Luna bank. When I got to the vendor house in Malas, I found 32 small pieces of Black Rock on the ground in right in front of the vendors. Explain this one?

I found half a dozen pieces in Makota Jima (Oceania) at a very quiet location. Another miner may have dropped them but i've never seen other miners around this location.
Just happened to notice them, no CTRL-Shift.

I'll be looking out for more now!!

It is possible they are residual from the time when the small pieces spawned *everywhere*. I found one, from that time, fairly recently, in Brit forest, north of the graveyard.

Yep, quite possible - they weren't all accounted for the last time I looked

i get small pieces of BR all the time... i guess i get 1 for every 30 or so gems i dig up, just to give you an idea of how often they pop up. i don't think there's a correlation, but i seem to get blackrock in places that give me lots of shadow iron... just coincidence, i'm sure.

anyway, i save em. who knows...

I save the blackrock I mine too. They just made the small ones insurable...... I wonder why.

naturally occurring blackrock from the spawn way back doesn't show as blackrock when you ctrl+shift though. It will be Diamond or Ruby. So if it was already showing as that then it was probably dropped.
