Reguarding the NEW BLESSED faction arties L o L

Do the DEVs just smash their faces across the keyboard as they write their code????????????????

Needless to say, I've found several problems with the new faction arties here on Siege:

1) Do not buy more then your suit, for you cannot put in a chest or even the character bound's bank box.

2) When I killed myself with other char, the FACTION ARTIES that I was wearing upon death, are blessed and stayed with me when I rezzed, the rest of the faction arties I'm stuck with (because I didn't know I couldn't put in chest/bank box), were lootable.

3) When you loot said arties that AREN'T being worn, they will now be your problem and can't drop them. BUT, you can indeed equip other factioners' faction arties. Which wasn't intended.


Anyone else find problems? GG Devs!

P.s. I didn't see any invasion yet, so we're assuming we have to wait for Minax's time to be up and recorrupt for this event to start? Checked all towns..

I could be wrong, but the problem that you had in #2 could be stopped if you had tried to wear the item. I can't seem to find the thread where some one tested this.

So far, the faction arties that are equipped upon death, are blessed. Mind you, I only tested this via killing my char. with guilded faction member. Someone care to test this theory by being killed by opposite faction? Let me know how it goes.

I believe I read that the items would NOT be blessed. . . and freely lootable. [But just unwearable by anyone other than the purchaser]

Faction Item Follow-Up
Last week's post brought up a number of questions - here are some answers!

"Will the items be faction-blessed or insurable?" They will be insurable (except, of course, the potions, bandages, and similar consumables.) Players will be able to use clothing bless deeds on them if they wish, however, do remember that they will eventually wear out, since Powder of Fortification cannot be used on them (and Powder of Perseverance, the faction version, is more limited.) On Siege, they will be neither blessed nor insurable.

"Is the item that allows humans to wear elf armor faction-only?" Yes - only characters that are in factions will be able to use them.

"Will the new items be usable in Trammel?" Yup, as long as you meet the faction rank and membership requirements. (And assuming, of course, that you're allowed in to Trammel...)

"Some of the items the new ones are based on - such as the Crimson Cincture - do not have durability. Will the Faction versions?" Yes - all the faction artifacts (except spellbooks) will have durability and can wear out.

Can anyone give a list of the rank 1 items available?

Edit: Just make the damn things lootable and allow anyone to wear them as long as they have the proper faction rank.

This has been fixed wholesale, and will be published out soon.

What we've done is stripped out the no-drop, no-loot rules on the faction equippables, and replaced it with the simple ownership system we talked about previously.

When you buy a faction item, it will bind to that character. You can trade it, drop it, trash it if you want, but it will only be equippable by the original owner.

This will fix all existing faction items retroactively.
