The new skills for SA look absolutly awesome, with, i think, imbuing being the most wonderful skill of all. Finally we can take junk items, break them down and use their properties to make nice PLAYER MADE items from items already made by someone else. Mysticism looks like fun and throwing skill looks great (love the soul glaive). Maybe Mythic taking over UO was the greatest thing EA could have ever done for this game. I'm finally happy that someone is at least listening to the player base since making magic items with intended properties is something most of the player base has been asking for for years.

I'm right there with ya. I believe they are headed in the right direction. If more can let go of the past and allow the dev's take us into the future we'll get there alot sooner.

The only thing I think was good in any of the other expansions was the new skills (love necro) and house customization. Everything else is subpar. Maybe, just maybe, SA will change EA's track record of expansions.

they look good.. but what about the ones we already have that are useless? Why couldn't they have been combined? and now its yet another case of too many skills not enough possible skill points...

That's the nice thing. Choices need to finally be made as to how you want your character to turn out. I think the days of all in 1 mules are really hard to achieve. If you want imbuing on your crafter then you'll have to drop another skill so that you either make 2 characters with the craft skills or rely on the community and have to buy items to imbue. Win/win in the end.

Calibek: There's no Win/Win.

Multiple accounts, resource farming bots, a multitude of soul-stones and well, you said it yourself: more characters, meaning more money to EA for that extra slot.

There's only Win, that's for EA's wallet.. :p Sorry to burst your bubble.

Choices is a good thing, now to fix Chiv being a 50-80 skill and skills from items work.. Maybe it's time for a mini-diminishing returns system just for that.

But keep in mind true choices are yet not necessary if you're decked and smart in mix/matching parts.

Laurlo: The good news is the Devs said they're doing something with the UTTERLY useless skills.. That's a couple skills getting replaced then- more than enough for people to start making real choices.
The bad news, it might take AGES.
The -possible- worse thing is the new skills will be casting. MELEE Warriors need more stuff to choose from, ranged guys already got Throwing.

DID I MENTION IT IS ABOUT TIME TO ADD DUAL WIELD AND *TRUE* 2 HAND WEAPON SPECIALIZATION?!

Not if you invest in a fair number of soulstones.

Am I wrong to think that the unraveled items will not be property mods them selves but instead the essence of magic and the crafting gump will contain the mods?

If i had a 20 lrc bracelet and unraveled it I wouldn't have a 20 lrc "regeant". I would have a low-mid grade resource that I can pick ANY property with, according to its intensity?

Thats how i read it and every one i talk to seems to think differently.

I read it exactly the way you did too, then was confused by all the other comments. Will imburing be random? Specific? Based on the item overall intensity? I think it it based on the overall intensity based... greater than 400% intensity for the most powerful imbueing reagent makes me think you would need 5 properties each with 80% or greater intensity.

Dunno... I'm confused too.

Well mutliple accounts are pretty much the same thing. I should have been more clear at my idea in that you have to rely on other characters and not other people. Wether that character is on the same account, different account, or is just another person is a matter of debate but still relying to get the items from somewhere else is not a bad thing.

Bots in general are a plague on this game and should be stabbed in the eye. I have no more opinion on that one.

I'm not sure how many soulstones the average person has but I only have 1. I wouldn't think that would be too much of a problem but i could be wrong.

Skill jewelry should never have been put in and yes Chivalry needs fixed so there is a reason to take it up to 100.

I'm sure there are ways to min/max but even then to get every crafting/gathering skill on one char without the use of several soulstones is impossible.

Not if it makes you hit 2x as much and fast like a double strike. and only if say the weap in the right hands properties worked only. so basicly it would be more like double weapon sets like the swords of prosp lol. They really need to just change the animation of all double weaps and add some others.
