I went into a cj tonight. We ended up only seating 6. Probably because most started shooting the cannons right away instead of waiting til the last 35-40 seconds. Anyway, we seat 6. I look and it doesn't say anything about having a bonus weight so I go stun. I am stunning a while when someone says they need a toon up. Everyone is pretty much ignoring her so I run up to toon her. We were almost at the end so no biggie in leaving the stunning for a second. When I hit her I see a 3. So I am throwing a 3 bonus weight right? Meanwhile two other toons come up to help toon her as she was really low and they are throwing 2s. Why didn't it register that I had a bonus weight when I looked in my CJ phrases? Has this been like this for a while and I'm just now paying attention? If I had known I had a bonus I would have scaled instead. Or did a 3 not mean bonus weight like it used to? Please enlighten me. Thanks!

Seating: You want to avoid seating between 20 and 30 seconds. Over 30 seconds, use to get your aim setup. Between 20 and 30, just don't shoot, otherwise that seat will get cogified again and you will be unlikely to reclaim it before the timer runs out. Under 20 is the best time to take a seat.

As for the evidence weight, how many cogs were there? If there was less than 9, then there's never "bonus weight" per say. That phrase shows up when there are 9 or 10 cogs. If there were more than 8, then I don't know what happened.

There were only 8 cogs. So I had a bonus weight of 3 but it won't show in my phrases? How would you know if you have the bonus weight then unless you hit someone with some evidence to find out? Does it even matter having a bonus weight then if there are 8 cogs?

I wait til the timer is at 40 seconds to begin the cannon. Is it better to wait even longer? I am not that great an aim so I tend to start a little bit earlier but do wait some. I guess I will try waiting til 20 seconds. I may never get a bonus weight now. LOL!

I think bonus weight means that it's a harder CJ and that the regular weight is less than a 'normal' CJ.

That's just a guess though.

Oh when shooting jurors, people should aim for seats that are in front of them (top and bottom rows). If everyone were to do that and to not shoot between 20-30 seconds, I'm sure we could get more 10+ seated runs.

I realize this thread is a little older....

If you check your speedchat phrases before the actual scaling round starts, it will never say that you have any bonus weight.... Once people are actually scaling, you will have the phrase if you have any bonus weight.

I know it doesn't show up til scaling starts but thought it did afterwards. I was surprised it didn't show my bonus weight of 3 the entire time. Now I know that 8 cog cjs dont show a bonus weight.

We had 8 cogs and my evidence was hitting toons at 3. Since it didn't say it in my phrases while scaling then I take it 3 isn't considered bonus weight for that particular CJ. Right?
