Turn-in Event + Strangers + Ingenious Gargoyles = ?

I've been wondering about this for awhile.
The trumpets have been sounded.

We have been given the option to turn our hoarded items in for points & other items.

The Strangers have come from afar to mess with Britannia; surely they have plans.

The gargoyles. We've heard about them. It still sounds like they are on their way too; perhaps on their way towards a real renaissance (but for themselves or for all of UO?).

Do many of us feel that the UO landscape (~significant UO systems) might receive some major overhauls once everything is added together?
I have my popcorn :popcorn:
Anyone have some predictions?

Hmmm, interesting. I have my Kleenex as I will be in the nosebleed section with a beer cooler.

For me UO is on hold , I was thinking of trying out AOC , But there is a part of me that says UO is going to get a nice kick start soon (so why start something new) , hopefully it will be something that may add MANY new faces , bring back some old friends and atleast a few more years of fun.. :popcorn:

But they got until WAR comes out , not passing that one up.. :thumbup1:

Yes, it fits together. The Clean Britannia program in 1999 was followed by Renaissance in 2000 with new landmasses.
And according to the (singleplayer) Ultima lore is could be something like this: (just my speculation)
The Strangers came from the Abyss. Another rift will appear which leads there. We (players) have to go there to find a shard of Mondains Gem of Immortality which is needed to finally defeat the Strangers. In the Abyss there lies also the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom - unknown to us. But not to the Gargoyles. They are understandably offended by this underground invasion and will fight us because they assume we're going to steal the Codex. Eventually they understand and help us to defeat the Strangers. The Codex will be put into the Void and we'll all be friends and live happily ever after (which means we can choose the Gargoyle race in character creation).

Ok, this is childish and much too easy. But maybe I'm not totally wrong.

The only way any of this stands to any reason at all is, " EA/MYTHIC WILL MAKE SA LIKE KR ". This means no CD, no in store sells, just a down load like KR was/is. I have never seen a game, or expansion to a game that came out in secret, with no closed testing, no beta testing, and no advertising at all. Yet, there seems to be a lot of people that think that this is exactly what will happen.

Nothing today, and in the stores tomorrow..........:lol:

ps: I will gladly post differently if someone points out other games that were a complete secret until you saw it in the store?

But at least it makes some sense and would make some sense to happen in game.

Or... What if all the turn ins were to clear up space so they could combine servers and use some of UO's current space for the projected needs of Warhammer! :(

And the strangers, and Shadowlords, and Timelords actually take over and destroy Sosaria...You get booted one day, servers down, come back to log in tomorrow, and your account name logs you into Warhammer! :mf_prop:

Hey, just a thought...since there hasnt been a single post in months about the "future" of our game. Well, make that a substantial post, with words other than "can't discuss that," and "later" and "soon" :rant2:

And don't say it can't happen, remember they added ATMs to Sims Online to take peeps money for ingame cash, and announced the game close a week or so later...So an event running now, doesn't mean anything to me as far as assurance there will still be UO in 6 months.

Just have to watch and see.

I am assuming Codex = CC number
and Void = UOGamecodes

Umm...have you just started playing UO? :p Forget Beta..just throw it out to everyone so we can all have the fun when the servers go down :p

- Ender, that seems contrary to some of the current events that did have Legacy graphics yet did not have KR graphics...
It seems as though they have planned ahead and have also run into several obstacles along the way; effigies are great: burn more pls (und happy 4th)!

(All my responses are -in my opinion- don't ya' know. I'm just trying to spark the creative hive into considering a bit more than simple doom n gloom. ;) )
