Has anyone heard anything about the crimmy drop rate being changed? I may very well just be having horrible luck, but me and a buddy have been basically chaining dread horn for a week or so and nothing...

Peerless, Crimson drop rates?

Well my luck is so bad I finally had to buy one since the game never seems to want to reward me with one but enough of my whining.
Guildmate got 1 last weekend doing Travesty but that was a first for our guild in a couple of months and we do either Mel/Trav often

MSI got 2 in 2 runs last week. They haven't been dropping like they have. I noticed a decrease in the drop rate last year, I Haven't gotten one in about a year. I've gotten six but anyone who does mel on atlantic knows how many mels I've done. Granted there's folks that have gotten alot more but I don't have the best of luck, real luck.
I kinda smile when folks say "I've done 100 mels and nothing". Guy in the guild got his first on the one of the 2 that dropped, I've done 100's apon 100's of mels with Roman.

You're complaining about a week!? My friend and I chained DH for a year before we got our first Crimson. It should be rare.

I have done around 4000 total peerless runs in the last year and a half(every single peerless with the vast majority of them being Lady Mel, Dreadhorn, and Travesty), with over 2000 of them done on one character. The only crimson I have received was on the 1st run I took my spellweaver too about 10 months ago.
A guildmate of mine got 2 in under a week and 3 total in a month.

From my personal experience I believe the drop rate to be 2% chance or 1 in 50!
That's after having done probably 800+ Peerless.
I received 2 last week and another one 2 days ago so I'm not complaining.
It's totally random. Don't be discouraged. I've been in your shoes and felt your frustration many times. There have been times where I'd done maybe 80+ Peerless runs with no drop.
You really have chain peerless runs to increase your chances.
But don't give up and don't get discouraged. Keep at it and it will come.

I chuckle myself when I read those post, my wife has done over 7000 peerless runs and has never gotten a crimson. I've gotten 2 in about the same number of runs.

After receiving my 14th Crimson 2 days ago I can most assuredly tell you first hand "Yes it will!".
If your in a party of 3+ or more people and your one of those groups that break party it's very easily understandable how you may fall into the unlucky category of not receiving a crimson. Even more so if your with greedy and untrustworthy players who will tell you no I didn't get anything when in fact they may have.
When I go do Peerless runs I chain em'. I don't just do 1 or 2 runs unless I'm really tired and bored. I do chains of 5,6,8 or 10 runs. My record in one day is 17, which I never want to repeat, and on that day I did not receive a crimson.
Not to boast but my point is if your doing one or two a day for say a month I think your chances are signifigantly lower than when your doing 5+ a day for a few weeks.
And I'm sorry guys claiming to do over 4000 peerless runs and not getting a crimson drop is totally fishy to me. Whoever your grouping or partying with is outright lieing to you or your the unluckiest son of a gun on the planet.
I'm almost certain I haven't reached the 1000th Peerless runs plateau and have recieved 14 Crimsons in total. So I stand by the number I presented in my first post.
For those unlucky enough to disagree with my estimates you have my sympathies.

Last week my group got two within three runs. We did two Parox and one milly
With a small group of four you can easily get a CC per person in under three weeks doing 5-7 runs a day. Thats one CC per every 37 runs using four ppl.
Also we dont drop party. So we always know who gets the next CC.

MT did about 14 Mel runs on Sunday and I got a drop. Another MT also picked up one from Mel within the last 2 weeks.

I personally have received 3 or 4 crimmies, but I had quit doing peerless' for a while, and recently came back to them and it just seems a little extreme, but we'll keep going I guess... Thanks for the input.
About two weeks ago a friend got 4 in 5 days (doing 3-6 peerless a day)

BTW, I was on those runs with Tycolby, and was one of the CC recipients.
Both me, and the other person that got a CC, were in shock.
I'd done 5-10 peerless a week (mostly dread & melisande, but a fair amount of Travesties, Grizzles and Effusions mixed in when possible) up until this year's events started (And averaged 1-2 week after then), and had NEVER gotten one, until one of my BOD RUNNERS found one on Melissa, AFTER the bodies combined (two of the people fighting weren't looting, saying "event creatures never have any good loot" - until I showed them the CC they left behind). But I'd never gotten a CC from a normal peerless prior to then.
The other person had gotten only one before, but that was in the first months of ML, and was in a hunt where we kept the party together, one person looted, then we rolled for the items (and she sold that first one for about half what it was worth then, not realizing at the time how much they'd eventually become worth). She hadn't seen one since then.
Ironically, because we had a group of guildmates, and non-guild people on the hunt (it was a open hunt for anyone on the shard to participate - we do them Wed. nights on LA), we did break the party for those.

I do mostly travesty during this past summer and gotten 4 aprons within 60 or so kills and then it just stops and got my 5th one on my 134th kill of travesty...
To be honest it really all comes down to pure real life luck and just so you know all those kills are solo kills so the chances of getting in a group is significantly smaller.

1 in 50? I freaking wish. I'd have 100 crimsons. LOL, prolly more.
I've seen 2 in 2 runs, 4 in 5 runs. I know people that have gotten them back to back runs. A guildy was asking me how many mel runs I've done. I honestly don't know. I'm sure it's in the higher thousands. There was a long period where that's all I've done was peerless, esp mel. Hell I've done 25-30 in a day on the weekends. I've slacked off in the last year as I have noticed a change in the loot.

They're rare for sure. When introduced, there were two things I wanted badly, crimsons and a full set of assassin armor. I haven't achieved either goal, and it's been a while now. I have purchased crimsons from vendors, but am certain they as well as some set pieces are "overly" rare

Sorry to disagree with you, but no. For months, the guild RK on the Atlantic server did 10+ peerless every morning. And then for many months after that MSI did nothing but peerless runs all day. And I am pretty sure we have a good idea on how to run it.
This also includes about 500 runs where we have just duo'ed Mel and haven't gotten a crimmy.
