Why was i able to tame one at only 115 and control it but the barding difficulty is 129.something ????
The barding difficulty is based on the hp's a beast has. Taming difficulty seems to be predetermined on what the beast is.Why was i able to tame one at only 115 and control it but the barding difficulty is 129.something ????
Hm. Actually, bards were one class that got hit really hard in Publish 16 - the same publish that brought power scrolls. And alot of it WAS justified. You used to be able to have maybe 20 provo and have about a 1 in 10 or 20 chance of provoking a Blood Elemental onto a Balron ... and get gains for it! You just had to run around long enough to get the provo off ...I think someone decided that bard = PvM god, and while we're powerful, I think we got some pretty serious "balances" like the difficulty figures, the need for slayers to make some critters even bardable at all and the requirements of staying within range and visible.
I wish someone would look at things again, sensibly, and remember that we once got told that being over GM wouldn't be essential, just enhance the effects of our skill. Then look at the barding difficulty list etc. I think barding came out considerably worse than many other skills with the advent of powerscrolls, and it's nuts.
