Miners can no longer smelt on their Fire Bugs ghost? Say it isn't so!!!

I'm just kidding... that seemed like a bug anyway. But could someone "Official" please comment on the likelihood of giving us some sort of NPC way of Res'ing our Pets... I know my Miner doesn't have enough skills for Vet and and Animal Lore...

I saw suggestions that Wandering Healers could do it for a charge? or maybe that stable masters would charge for doing it... maybe there would be a Vet Reward (probably lower year than the 10 year that res's people) that lets you res pets....

Something, so if you are strictly a crafter you have a chance of res'ing your pets if you can't find people on to help you?

Please?

I though that magic apples, chocolate ingredients, and smoke bombs were also going to be added to the stackables list. Did they just forget to mention these in the notes? I guess I can log on test when I get home and find out.

Wow this looks like fun stuff!... one question though from this:

Three new quests to help heal the land by releasing the spirits trapped in Magincia’s ruins
The quest giver is a mage near the Magincia moongate
Quest rewards are three types of rubble, one for each quest (total of 12 pieces)

If there are three quests each giving three types of rubble, how does that add up to 12 pieces? Does each of the three quest give 4 pieces of rubble from 3 types? Are they random or selected? If rubble can weigh up to 99 stones, can they possibly over wiegh you and drop from your pack?

I took this to mean no more casting flamestrike on a key or on a tillerman so you don't have to damage yourself while training. Earthquake doesn't need a specific target, therefore it shouldn't be affected. I would assume anyway.

That is a very sizable publish indeed. I cant wait to go and test it.

By the way, there is a note in there about Faction vendors automatically expiring for a town that has had control of a town taken away. Should the same condition also apply for placed faction guards? Because they are currently acting as turn coats for the new city owner as well.

Britain actually has an NPC Veterinarian that servers no purpose. Someone brought this up a year or so ago and was stoned to death by Uhallers for being unsociable.

I guess the biggest difference is that it could be happening in 3 cities ath the same time... and which cities are affected are going to be changing a lot... controlled by the PvP crowd so the PvM crowd just have to keep trying find out where to go and where is safe tonight, and ignore the rest of the "noise".

Vendors

Instituted a new Vending Penalty for players who attempt to circumvent the daily vendor charge for their items
Vending Penalty is the same as the daily charge for the item
Penalty is applied if the item is removed by the owner before 24 hours has passed since it was added to the vendor
Penalty is noted on the object as an item property
If the item is added to a vendor again, the vending penalty is automatically deducted from that vendor’s account, or given back to the player if funds are insufficient
There is a 30 minute grace period after adding an item to a vendor to prevent accidents: any item removed before 30 minutes passes will not have a vending penalty
Once 24 hours pass, the item may be removed at any time by the owner without penalty. Re-adding it to the vendor starts the process over again, however

Not random, can now be easily controlled on some shards, thus making it controlled. It is different because of this reason...

Easy some shards even with the changes to PvP won't have the Faction presence to make the event run smoothly. Others Factions like Minax have a dominate face in the Shards PvP Scene, meaning all the other PvPers can't offset it to keep it running at a pace that would be considered moderate. There's so many variables that can sway it one way or the other....

Kindof agree... they should make all areas attack just some more than others, that way people are forced to travel and use all the land and not let some die out..., but always have a safe spot for miners and such.

Make one post for three replies or add the :postcount: feature to each one after... just nagging on you :p

Either way, you get up to 3 cities invaded with a 2 hour break after the invasion is beaten.

PvP is going to set the tempo of an Event, or better yet say a minority of the player base is going to set the tone and tempo of an event that may or may not happen on your shard based on which Faction/s can maintain dominance.....

I see your point. But I also don't think the powers that created this event would just sit by and idly watch nothing happen without stepping in. This is probably close to the last event in the arc before SA. So they will have plenty of time to tweak it. At least as long as it took to create it all. Let's see what happens.

for once the pvp community has a huge role in an event, maybe factions determine what cities but the rest of the community can determine the outcome. It hasn't been on test shard for 12hrs give it a chance please.

Ok, point taken on the no invasions at all part. There are plenty of people looking forward to these invasions and it would suck if they never occur because of a dominant TB or COM faction. I still don't see a problem with Minax or SL being dominant because it would just be more consistent hunting grounds.

So how can it be tweaked to avoid this? I say have at least one invasion be spawned which is unaffected by Faction play. That way, everyone in Trammel will have something to fight.

I'm always willing to give it a chance, but I'm going to voice a concern based on how it was presented. I know some of the development team reads these forums, I know that they don't have the in house resources to really test things on a global scale in house. I'm just voicing a concern that I would hope was noted during development before it's found on TC1 and delays the publish another week....

Agreed. 3 cities invaded is no different then the devs picking 3 at random. Only problem I see with this scenario is what is the point? The mobs drops silver. Silver is useful if you are in a faction. What else was there? Did I miss some cool cursed artis(laf) or something that is gonna drop? Dragons going wild will be interesting. Just means everyone will be there with a dog.

Still trying to figure out why anyone will care one way or another past the 2nd day. Faction thieves might care but where is the draw to this? Other than the fact they finally point something to do in the game that we havn't done to death.

Let's see, other than the one little mistake I posted, a HUGE list for a UO publish, that's for certain.

The Factions leading to invasions in Trammel sound like fun. Even a non-Faction character could make a nice profit off of silver looting (and selling).

Good to see that it WILL NOT be clogged with greater dragons thanks to the "boss dragons" (Sorry tamers, but an event is no fun when everything is "non-tamers not welcome", and greater dragons regardlesss of difficulty to tame are too easy of an answer... use something else for once (I imagine rune beetles and cus will be prevalent))

New NPC interaction during an invasion... interesting.

New Halloween and Magincia quests... very nice.

And a good long list of fixes to boot!

Very nice.

Now we only need one thing...

KR PATCHURDAY!!!!
