My bow, is it really 2 mill worth or was I treated badly?

It costed me 2 mills to get my bow back from Gloria Estafan KOC
That's alot of gold for me and I doubt anyone would pay that much on an action for a bow like mine.

Now I like my bow but feel I was treated badly and paid to much to get it back.

44 Hit Lightning
5 Hit chances Increase

57 Damage Increase

Please tell me what you would think it is worth. No I'm not thinking of selling it.

I could understand someone demand so much if I or my guildmembers had demanded an unfair price for trading back something but I would never allow my guild to do that.

It bugs me it dropped when it was blessed, sure I can't prove that and it bugs me someone take advantage of it and I had to go trough my 5 accounts banks to find the money to pay the money to bet my bow back.

I know I should just shut up and move on but I really want to know the value of my bow. Sorry

Yes Freja you paid a ransom not what the bow was worth, but like you already posted it has sentimental value and you also have friends who are willing to pay the price.
This is why I buy from Chad's vendor, Overpriced? Perhaps but I feel he just like you are a bennifit to the shard.

The hit lightning is not a problem as red as it only hit one agressore to me or someone I attack but the primary ability lightning arrows are a problem as it will hit everyone not in guild/alliance with me.
Also the bow have very low basis damage so if the hit lightning fail, it will deal very poor damage.

I would pay 2 million for that bow. In fact, I would love to buy it if you ever do sell it

However, I would use it for pvm and not pvp. It is in the pvm realm that the bow would shine.

That said, if I was buying the bow I would pay that. I think the ransom should have been lower considering the conditions, but thats just me.

*Putting up a price of 1000gp for every head of parrots hunted down in Safe Haven.
2-3 parrots in a house is fine but no farms in Safe Haven

Seriously Freja, it's not about whether the bow was about being worth 2mil. You lost an item. The person was willing to sell it back. You should consider yourself lucky!!!!! Do you know how many people have lost things to never have it returned??? Gloria could have easily kept that bow. You were not treated badly.

I don't know, I feel I was as I know the bow was blessed and it was a bug I lost it.
When I asked to pay it back, I did not expect it to be that expensive.

I am happy I got it back but I do not find it was a fair payback price.

You right, I had no choice, "pay 2 mills or lose your bow"
2 mills are alot of money for me, I would never run around with an item of that value if it was not blessed.

I have very hard with feeling lucky right now, but I will get over it.

I said it before and I'll say it again. As many times as you've touted this shard's superiority over production shards, you sure are crying a lot about something that happens here very often. If this is such a problem for you, production shards and insurance may be the way to go for you. Then you only lose 600 gp for the bow when you die!

I think the main problem is, I did not count on the risk for losing it to a bug, I thought it was safe.

I'm not trying to slam Gloria, I just find the price was to high but you right, I could had choosed not to buy it back.

@Freja: I'd have a hard time coming up with 2M as well, but I'm glad you were able to do it, and be reunited with your bow. I'd be happy to help a bit with recovering your ransom funds, and I'd guess others would too if given an opportunity.

If you have a vendor, just put a junk item on it for 200K, and I'll come buy it. I do not log in anymore unless I have a specific reason, so let me know when you plan to do it, and the vendor location, so you don't get a lot of vendor fees.

Thanks for the offer to you and others but I will be ok. I think it's time I use a little more time training my tamer and learn how to use her for farming, that way I will have easier with replacing my lose in the future.

I'm sad to hear you lost your joy from playing, I know that feeling. I had been playing more the last months, thanks to guildmembers and to Shalimar for letting me help with NEW. I had found reasons to login again, that's really nice.

To each his own I guess. Personally, I find a shortbow very useful at spawns and one with 44 lightening, 30 ssi, and high DI is pretty darn good for that. You could make the 2 million back in a single spawn.

3) This is exactly why whenever this happens to people I say trash the damn thing cause they are always ungrateful for your willingness to be a nice guy. I do not mind being thought of or called a heartless A$$ but I refuse to be nice and called an A$$ for my effort, which is exactly what she is doing to Gloria.
4)As far as that bow being worth 2 mil. well you paid it so it quite certainly is worth that much to you. If he had said 2.5 mil and you paid it well then that also would have been what it was worth to you. Never mind what fair market price is on an item of that quality , it is what it was worth to YOU.

i use a repeating xbow for spawns.. 44 Hit Area 35 SSI 45 DI
requires no mana at all to AoE kill stuff.. and Fre. i agree with others i would not have put down 2 mil for a bow like that.. good mods, but "Magical Short" kind of defeats it.
