Log in server down?

Anyone else having serious issues logging in? I can log in, HOWEVER, it takes approximately 3.5minutes for the client to accept my password, then, it hangs up when choosing a shard for anywhere from 30-45seconds. Once a character is chosen, it logs me right into the game.
Another issue I'm experiencing is that when I recall or sacred journey, I get the sound, but I'm not going anywhere, 5-8seconds later, I actually recall/sj to where I was trying to go. Now this really isn't an issue in Tram, but I do venture to Fel on a regular basis, and this makes for a DEAD RUM, upon arrival if there happen to be reds in the area.
I've rebooted the game, restarted my computer, shut down my computer for 5 minutes and restarted, cleared my temporary files/cookies/history (again today...it's part of my nightly maintenance) and I just got done defragging to see if that would help...to no avail. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Flames or "hey dumbass" aren't necessary. I'm not computer illiterate; however, this one is kicking my butt and I had no issues with the game up until today.
Now, I can't log in at all on any account/character. Server must be down.

Yes, it hangs at Verifying Account and says there is a problem communicating. Hah!

DVI's thread is dated from YESTERDAY. Teeshy's thread was started 4 minutes prior to mine being started AND IF you bothered to read my post, you would note that I have listed other issues as well. Please try to pay attention to what you have read...education is a good thing (ie: the ability to read and comprehend)

Heh. I try to tend my plants early in the morning because I have a habit of falling asleep mid-watering if I do it later on. I have attempted three times today to care for them and keep getting interrupted (RL, not EA). Now I have the time to play and can't get in!
Also, is anyone having problems placing a plot? I haven't seen any mention of the housing server being down, yet I tried several times today, different characters and accounts and can't get one to stay. I get the valid location message, place and the house is there, yet it disappears a few seconds later. The account I want to put it on hasn't owned a house in weeks. The last 6 times the house placement tool wouldn't even open to the menu. And I even bought two new tools, one in Zento and one in Luna.

Is there anyone right now that can log in? Seems like the servers have been down for quite some time. Is there anyway maybe we can get a sticky on this (or something) so maybe it will get the appropriate attention?

sign in with, i think, your UO ACCOUNT LOGIN DETAILS (i have a feeling you can create a seperate login for this though....)
then tell them junk like what game, what version, what issues, some more junk, then type in in something funny about hamster errors, and, erm, i think thats it...
