Is there anything lamer in pvp atm? I don't want to see the spell nerfed in its entirety, just take away its ability to effect resist spells skill.

If it takes 3 people (2 stealthers and a tamer) why the hell do you think it should be nerfed? Seems to me, maybe it needs to be buffed a bit if it takes 3 vs 1 to get the job done. - trapped boxes I agree, it's just downright sad that I have to carry an item AND waste 120 skill points to counter one single spell. SOmething must be done!It should be changed BUT to change it many other things mustve taken into consideration. Trapped boxes, super speedhacking runner with 120 resist, dismount with archery, archery balanced mod, greater dragons noobie all kill spams, ect ect.
Out of all the issues we have in PvP omen para is pretty very minor.
/Signed on THIS.Your complaining about 2-3 people ganging up and killing 1. Get real if you and 1-2 friends get together and pvp you SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM killing 1 single opponent.

You really miss the point here. I got tired of losing trap boxes and having to replace them so I increased my spell resistance. Now all those skill points have been negated by this one over buff combination.All it takes is a trap box to completely negate this attack. It really isn't that big a deal right now compared to other PVP issues such as a complete lack of motivation for group PVP.
i couldn't stop laughing after reading this post.i will have to say you are for sure full of it.evil omen para is easy to counter.people should complain less about stuff that isn't that bad so the devs can fix real issues duping,hacks etc.Signed.
Anyone claiming they can counter Omen/Para is full of ****. I've spent a lot of time pointing out why and in the end I always just give it up 'cuz people eventually turn the arguments into completely personal disputes or have NOTHING real to say. Just wild theories from players who cannot discern a Brigand NPC from a red player.
Next to be fixed for me:
- Disarm
- Dismount
- Pots
- Poisoning
- Archery(Moving Shot among other things)
Soon to be added:
- Faction Items: Remove, make unusable against non-Faction players or make available to all
- The lot of abilities, skills and items SA will add?

That logic is flawed. Your Resisting Spells should not completely negate the Paralyze spell. But it does. So you get stuck for 6 seconds from a 2 spell combo and that is somehow unfair? It's hardly 6 seconds.( though 6 seconds is a lifetime in PvP). It's long enough for the caster to put two energy fields on me thereby completely immobilizing me.That logic is flawed. Look, I'm not posting a bunch of bull****. It's been done to me on two occasions and I"ve seen it done to others several times. It happens, it was not my imagination, so go test it if you don't believe it.No its not long enough to get 2 energy fields up if you have 110+ resist (not sure about under that) you can get one up then throw a wall of stone and evil omen para again then drop the other efield but you cant just do 2 efields.
yeah and archery+anat+bushido+tac> parry + unprepared victim.mager+eval+necro+ss>resist+unprepared victim.

Having a trap box is template irrelevant. Even if you don't have a trap box there are plenty of other ways to counter, from poison potions to having a friend heal you, etc.I have no idea what template you play JC, but to overcome a counter long enough to completely immobilize a player IS unfair.
You know, that's the problem. You think using a stupid trick to overcome a stupid trick is just dandy. I'm really tired of having to deal with the dismount ganks, the disarm noobs, the Omen para-ganks...Having a trap box is template irrelevant. Evil omen para gank is no problem for me atleast... Only time I get evil omen paraed is when Im fighting 3vs1 and I get no bad feelings for losing that fight. If I have even 1 friend he will cast a small spell on me and break me free before they get to attack.Actually, omen para gank is the lamest i've seen done so far. Even with 120 resist you can't beat it, thats the point of this topic, not a list of other nerfs to be included. As far as archers..... they've been nerfed to the max already, leave them alone. If you realy need to omen para to get a kill, then stay in tramm, try using real skill next time you try to PvP.
I also agree with thisOk, the problem isn't the evil omen + para. The problem is energy field!
Energy field shouldn't be blocking people! It should be causing energy damage to people who walk through it like it use to do a long time ago.
Personally they should just call this spell "greater wall" or "energy wall" unless they plan on making the darn spell do what should be doing, which is causing damage.

A) Trap Box
B) Scrolls
C) lesser poison pot
D) Eat an apple before the para hits
Either way it's not that hard to survive it. There are bigger issues with PvP than Omen/Para atm...
Yeah, but it's a heck of a lot easier to escape from wall of stone since it doesn't last very long at all. You would need 2 mages focusing on casting the wall in case they escape. Wall of stone can also block their line of sight at certain angles allowing you to hide. It would be very hard for one mage to pull off X kill with wall of stone. With energy field it's easy.FYI if people cant Block with Efield they will block with wall of stone.. Its just as easy to X someone with Wall o Stone if you know how.
