Ya know...EA can just take the famous flying leap...If they plan to give 11th anniv items like this to Japan and not the to the USA player base...this game is doomed...EA is all about their bottom line and I for one will not tolorate another abuse.

Ya know, I've been trying my best to remain upbeat and positive about this game, but I'm starting to understand what you're saying.
I fought through learning a new game when you had to start looking at resists and get to (or as close as possible) 70 in each resist, I liked it better when you looked for Invulnerable or force pieces of armour and power weapons. I eventually learned the new game and all its new rules.
I was excited about KR (even more so when I got into beta), tried to tell myself that the problems with KR would smooth out and I'd get used to how things looked and stop thinking how crappy it all appeared. I wasn't happy with having to learn a new way of playing a game I'd already been playing for 10 years, especially since for some reason all the controls (even to talk) were so counter-intuitive to me. But I was determined to learn the new client and continue to enjoy the game that has become my way of blowing off steam and getting away from the real world and all the preasures that intails.
I was actually relieved when they announced that KR has been discontinued and they were going to redo the client from scratch. I had hope that the new client would make a lot more sense to this old man.
Now for some reason, finding that these new items are for Japan only (tho will eventually be available to us in spurts) has angered me like nothing they have ever done before. I'm not sure why this is pissing me off so much, (some of the anger is because EA is willing to have a box presence in Japan but not in the US) and I'm determind to calm down before I do anything that can't be undone.
That being said, I sold one of my accounts last night so I'm down to nine. I will be consolidating items and houses to my main accounts and selling or just closing five or six. After I'm down to three or four accounts I'll re-evaluate my commitment to UO as well as EA's commitment to the game I've loved for so long.
I hope that by that time I've found a reason to continue playing, but who knows. At this time I'm more confused than anything, but it really seems that we are the red headed step children of EA at this time.
Sorry this was soooo long.. I know most of you won't even bother reading a post of this length, but just needed to vent and try to get a handle on why this episode bothers me so much more than any of the other dumb things that EA has done over the years
