Tweak the hooded robes or give us hooded cloaks?

Devs please concider giving us the option of having the hoods on our robes up or down by clicking on the robe itself or if that would take too much coding, give us instead hooded cloaks for those of us that would like the covered face look without the robe look.

I concur. Hooded robes would be nice (not the deathshroud style)

And hooded cloaks would look 10x better than they do now. They're so damn ugly as they stand right now.

I would love to see that these hooded cloaks as a craftable so they can be dyed.On my ranger (a real ranger, not a tamer) I would like to see a dark green cloak with my ranger armor.

I'd rather see bugs and real balance issues fixed on the game then eye candy.

I have a feeling it would be different resources who would work on art vs rebalance and bugs... so it's not an either or necessarily... but I think all new art is focused on the new expansion at the moment.

Now if you want to cover your face, there are always ninja hoods. Have you tried one?

Ninja hoods don't look good on all races/hairsyles/facial hair. And they're pretty ugly in general.

It wouldn't be hard to code it in to have robes like that. I've been on a non-EA server where you could do it. Shhh...

The problem with hooded cloaks is a layerying issue. The paperdoll works on a layering system.

Cloaks can be considered on the very bottom, meaning just about any other graphic (weapons/clothing) lays on top of the cloak graphic and some times at least partially covering the cloak graphic.

The reason Hooded Robes can work is because they are one of top layers. Possibly only behind the weapon and shield layers? Thus this allows the hooded robe graphic to cover some of the face.

There are a couple options that I believe a hooded cloak could work.
- 1 having the hooded graphic be totally separate from the cloak. Possibly taking up the head or robe slot. It could be dyed/made from the same color cloth, so that it can appear to be 1 item.
- have an option of the cloak to make it look like it's draped over the shoulders, blocking any arms/weapons, like you might think someone would do if it were cold out. The issue with this method is that the arms and weapons would need to be blacked out. If you've ever seen a bright bandana(pure white, blaze, glacial) you may have noticed some halo-ing because the hue saturates the supposed blackness surrounding the head.

It's really up to the devs to decide if it's worth it or not. It is an interesting idea. I've thought about it before.

The virtue cloak isn't half bad. It's the regular cloaks that look really really really lame in the paperdoll and just looking at it in 2d.

I didn't know that about the layers but it makes sense. Hopefully it'd be something fairly easy and not too time consuming.

I would love more clothing options.. or to have the clothing art smoothed a bit. hooded cloaks would be nice.

I would like for the Hooded Shrouds to have a hood that can go up or down (shroud-to-robe and back), and a craftable non-toggling shroud alternative. The crafted one would not toggle so as to preserve some rarity for the rare ones.

The elven hooded robes are hideous and in no way an adequate substitute.

Or at least make a craftable hooded shroud that can be dyed. I don't mind the looks of em' but there's only so many to choose from...
