I am a bit curious as to how your Thanksgiving is celebrated compared to our Thanksgiving in the states so if anyone knows please share with us. (IE do you guys eat Turkey and watch football?)

Thanksgiving in Canada in my family was Turkey and Ham with all the fixings, Pumpkin Pie, and Hockey!

Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the 2nd Monday of October.

"The farmers in Europe held celebrations at harvest time. They filled a curved goat's horn with fruit and grain to give thanks for their good fortune and the abundance of food. They brought this tradition when they came to Canada.

During the American Revolution, Americans who remained loyal to England moved to Canada where they brought the customs and practices of the American Thanksgiving to Canada."

We Drink all weekend and then the turkey and so on...Drink abit more then flop on our asses and back to work tuesday!..

Ah it is rather warm here and over cast followed by a very cold change in temperature.

Another Idle curious question, I was contracted by Imperial Oil to rescue a number of their projects a while back (aka I did time at Imperial Oil days). Do they still call them selves Imperial Oil or have they changed names, If I remember right, they claimed at time, that there employees constituted 61%+ of the Canadian Work Force.
