I used to play this game a lot. I started with the beta and played through shortly after the launch of LBR. I realize a lot has changed, but my biggest question is, is the player population still decent sized?

How is the population?

Depends on what you call decent, and what server.
Chesapeake, yeah, I'd say it's "decent." Hard to go anywhere without running into at least one other person.
Can't speak for other servers really, since I've been mostly working on my treasure hunter lately (w00t, finally hit GM Lockpicking)

Oceania feels like a ghost town. I feel nostalgia more than excitement. Wandering places remembering old memories before thinking forward to the future.
I think the game I loved should stay in my head, coming back won't continue that legacy. It's a different time and a different game.

Europa is crazy...seems to be getting fuller by the day!!!
Iam IDOCER and when a big tower or 1818 falls i mark it so i can show peeps free spots if they ask me ....
Well 2-3 days ago i got a request for a 1818 in tram or fel....on looking thro 4 filled rune books of 'empty' spots i only found 5 or 6 that had not been replaced over the last 2 months...WOW....

I recently came back to the game after a long time away, myself.
The population isn't what it used to be. But it's not dead, from what I've seen. There are still lots of things to do, lots of new places to see, and there are still folks around to adventure with.

Catskills has a decent population, I see other players in most things I am doing.
