Or bookcases we can fill and have it look like books (ie., not a container as it is now). But most assuredly ... /agreed
It sucks they gave us ruined book cases that have books, but not a book filled undamaged cases. And the ruined ones can't even be used as a container.

A simple fix would be that a bookcase that contains a book on the top level would display as a bookcase. Whatever they do, it shouldn't be rare, because many players want to have a library.

I would love filled bookcases.... maybe they could make them be for runebook storage and it would be really cool if you put 1 book in it shows a few books and another book in shows a few more books on the out side... maybe after you put 5 or more runebooks in the outside would look full.... If the only way they would put bookcases into the game was if they all looked full on the outside then i wouldn't complain but if they worked this way i think it would give a big library alittle less of a repetitive look.
/signed. I always wanted beter ways to display collectables too Like a tall wooden and glass case for snow globes or one that would display all of the various reward statues and such. It would have something like empty slots where the missing pieces went and would eventually be completely full when you collected the set.

Any decent private shard has book shelves graphics changing to "filled with books" when you put something in the container.

Maybe a new feature for the library points? One that accepts runes, books, scrolls lvl 1-8 etc in return for points. Adds another gold sink to the game, and im sure library will be crawled with people turning in the items to get one of these bookcases/.../.../... new pair of glasses even maybe with random skill for carpentry/fletching etc... But to be honest, we are getting spoiled already Magincia event, Spring Cleaning, Japan Event Cloth, Gardening features,... But as long as we are on this road, why not drive a few miles further. EA your audience is loving it.

Filled bookcases just seem pretty basic to me. They should just be bookcases, and if you put books into them, they are filled. If you put anything else you get the kind with the bottles and crap.
But if thats too difficult, just dont make it TOO hard to get.

This has only been asked for since bookcases were added to the carpentry menu. Yet the "team" has ignored the requests for this since then. Why would they ever consider it now. Lets face it:
1) It would cause an unbalance in PvP
2) It would cause PvM to be meaningless
3) It would be a disaster to factions
4) It would cause countless bugs
Oh wait I am sorry THERE IS NO GOOD REASON FOR NOT HAVING THEM. Yet 10 years people have been asking for this and still they are not in game. But we have trees that bear fruit that bleed thru floors and walls. We have mouseholes. Please try not to expect too much, you are just a paying customer.

Yes to filled bookcases! I like Uvtha's idea of having two different styles depending on what items you put inside.
Displays would be nice, or small shelves of some sort that could display 3 or 4 keepsakes on them. Oh! Weapons racks would be neat too...show off your best weapons or event-type weapons and shields, etc.

*signs* I would love filled bookcases. Even if a scribe had to created a library deed to apply to and existing bookcase to allow it to show the books, it would be great to have!
