I was thinking of an idea to allow more then one account to own any vendor if the main owner of the vendor allows it and adds you as a or co-owner or a friend of the vendor. one reason being having to switch accounts can be a pain in a vendor house especially one you own. more reasons i want this as follows.
  • I have 3 accounts 3 houses all are far away from each other i also have 4 legendary smiths and 4 legendary tailors why so many smiths and tailors if you ask to get more and better bods.
  • Two of my houses are now keeps and one is an 18x18 since my keeps cannot be customized i like to keep them private to keep strangers and spawn out also one of my keeps is in a swamp not the best place for vendors and not exactly safe.
  • My 18x18 is my vendor house i customized it in a way so strangers cant get in my house but can access my vendors that is just one benefit that goes with customization. I wish castles and keeps could be customized or at least partially customized even one teleporter on the steps with levels of access that leads inside the house would be a big help.
  • I have over a few dozen vendors with bods not for sale. as for my smiths and tailors i have 3 smiths and 3 tailors on one account , 1 smith and tailor is on another account and one account has no smiths or tailors at all. my vendor house is owned by the same account with one only 1 smith and tailor.
  • Why else would anyone want this well suppose you go on a long vacation and have a friend or family member who plays who you can trust but can not trust enough to give your account password and user name to it happens not everyone is trusting enough to give there account info to anyone not even a family member.
  • If this is allowed others can at least maintain our vendors for us while we are gone so that can save us a lot of trouble, time and gold. also when we are not on they can stack our vendors for us when we are not on.
  • My hope is if this happens that there should be no limit to how many accounts have access to the vendor or vendors as long as the main owner allows it.
  • Perhaps there should be more then one access setting one access setting is to place gold and items on the vendor and a separate access setting is to take items off the vendor and to receive gold off the vendor.
  • So no funny business is done maybe there can even be 3 different access settings. one access setting can be to place gold on the vendor, another access setting can be to place gold and items on vendor and last but not least another access setting to place and receive gold and items to and from the vendor.
Well i know its a lot to read but i hope you like my idea. please vote or comment or both thanks.

It could make sense for vendors to have similar security settings available that any other container has.

However, given the problems in the past with fencing dupes and scripted resources, having such a system is dangerous - undoubtably some people will get burned trusting the wrong person. Who would get the mark/ban if a duped item was found for sale on a shared vendor? That's not a rejection, just a danger that has to be considered.

Meanwhile, it is possible to have someone maintain your shop while away by giving them rental spots - not exactly the same as sharing the vendors in your setup, but it can maintain a presence in the shop while you're away.

I understand but i did mention that perhaps there can be a different access setting to place items on our vendors that can avoid a player putting a duped item on our vendor if we don't give them access to place items on our vendor.
