I agree, I can say I voted for Bush both terms, it would be the largest loss in our nations history if we left Iraq before the country could defend and govern itself. But Bush has shot our country in both feet for the last 4 years (I actually liked his first 4). amazingly clinton was very similar his first 4 years were really good, but then scandal crept in the last 4....

I though Obama did much better in this debate than in the previous and I thought McCain looked mad last night when he lost on his silly jabs and jokes that failed. Once he got angry and lost control he started doing really bad.
His one chance to really get back on track was the Navy guy who asked a question to him towards the end and he did well. But I thought Obama really had a good answer too so it didn't make McCain stand out and that SHOULD have been his wheel house, I dunno how he screwed that one up.

Bennos Im a medic and was normaly assigned to the convoy escort teams out there as a team medic.

Pestilence while i was over there this is what we were told by the natives. For the first part of being there they loved it. We brought them alot of stuff they didnt have, gave them great ideas on how to build things and maintain stuff. For the most part they do have cities that are as big as smaller cities in the U.S. like feluja. (think i spelled that wrong) But we have stayed our welcome. They are for the most part ready for us to leave. They have taken the initiative to build road side shacks and have armed iraqis at them as a police force. Unfortunatly for them thier enemies have figured out how to infiltrate thier police training. That we are giving them. and then use it to thier advantage to attack the U.S. In the statistics that they dont show you on the news out here The iraqis are NOT thier targets, The americans are. Its bad when people are going to the other side (keep in mind this number is larger then you think) just because thier family member was killed by collateral damage from one of our defense attacks against someone trying to blow us up. Sorry if im rambling but i saw alot out there in my time. Good things and bad. I was even shot in the hand by a 11 year old boy who was helping his father set up a IED. Then again I went to schools out there multiple times to hand out clothes and food.

So in closing, Yes they like having us there for the extra security but the majority of the people there want us gone to go about thier business. We have overstayed our welcome. Its time to bring the troops home.

I forgot to mention that what i believe is that sure they like our help in these countries in short visits to help them fight the enemy clean up thier towns and then leave. Not to build huge bases that will most likely become permanant duty stations. There are 4 in Iraq alone that we will be at for the rest of time.

My 2 cents are...

a. I voted for Bush both terms. Extremely disappointed in the 2nd.
b. No way, no how would I allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons. You must understand that in their religion dying to take out the infidels only guarantees them an eternity with 72 virgins. The main difference between Iran and the Soviet union is this: Mutually assured destruction was actually a deterrent for the Soviet Union.

c. I am voting for McCain/Palin, but with my nose plugged. I could not possibly vote for Obama because his positions will take us quickly toward a more socialist society, and the free market and capitalism will take years to recover from his policies...if it ever does. Not to mention judges...

d. I think we need to finish the job in Iraq. I agree, that the people over there just want to get on with their lives. Hopefully they will be able to do that soon without the fear of anarchy for a failed government, or Iran coming in and taking over Iraq.

I have always considered you an intelligent person, but..... The fact that you don't see the real reason our troops were in Iraq is kinda sad, and that you think it's ok for America to impose their will on others is really disturbing to me.

I would try to explain to you that by concentrating and fighting trying to prevent a country from having nuclear weapons only gives it to them that much faster, but I don't think you are ready to hear that nor would you understand it. Unless you're talking about embassies you must mean foreign gov't controlled companies, which fall under the US's eminent domain realm.
We "own" land in almost every country in the form of embassies as well.

Rico, I'll try and keep it brief cuz I don't want anyone thinking my intentions are to personally attack anyone. I live in the U.S. and I love it here, but no one likes to be told what to do. And the more troops we send to Iraq, no more they will resist, and the more they resist, the more people will die. In the end all we do when we try to impose our will on other countries is create more war.

I think we first need to change ourselves before we try to change others. Then maybe we could improve our relationship with some of the other countries and then maybe they wouldn't wanna blow us up.

I lost interest in even watching this round of debate ! They still are NOT speaking to me. . neither one of them are speaking TO me. They still can label me an undecided voter...undecided because neither party of politicians is speaking to me nor US per say. They seem to find it easier to bash the other party when in reality both parties and the feds all got us into this mess as well as Americans trying to live ABOVE their means. Granted folks should have a decent home but if folks making 30k or 40k a year got talked into a 250k home mortgage...by lenders that tossed away common sense trying to get folks deeper in debt than they should have dared lend out to them.........this been going on since many years even before just Bushs in office even before just Clinton in office and kept on being left unaccounted for by BOTH PARTIES and here we are given a mega bailout and BOTH PARTIES had to just add more porkbarrel fat to the deficit........... so that they could have politics as usual buying off each others congress or senators to get hefty fat mega bailout vote passed.

NEITHER party is speaking ......just blathering psuedo intellectual BS or to point the finger of irresponsibility at someone else or the other party...soon as someone anyone steps up to the plate and says WE ALL FKD UP...then that one will GET MY VOTE and also tell us HOW to get out of the mess they and we all put this nation into ..to where the USA is now the leader in global economic CHAOS more yet to follow.

I know a certain highly respected military battalion that shot thier own US soldiers, blew up thier own guntrucks, blew up a marine tank while wounding 3 marines in the process. But did you all see that on the news? No! All you saw is blah blah this unit is doing great in iraq and setting standards.

1) we dont like the current admin.

3) I think all sides can agree we want outta this war crap. weither it be just leave, or finish what we started. we want out!

Its clear the rest of the world believes the same waya s we do from the number of countries attempting to hold the embargoes and investigations in Iran. and soemthing tells me that Iran will probably ahve some mysterious explosion right in the area where they are buildinga nd researching nuclear weapons.... just a guess and will probably be an airstrike that most of the free world will just ignore.....
