Gah Stupid GMs

Just thought I'd give a heads up to anyone interested:
It took about 80 minutes for me to get a GM today (note: it was Sunday after 5pm Virginia time.). I remember it taking over 2 hours several times over the past decade (of course I remember it taking less than 5 minutes several times too... but more often it usually did take awhile).

And he helped me with some added flair: Showed his face and made some funny *put actions here* comments.

Granted all I needed was a statue to be removed so I could attempt to place a keep (biggest house I've placed yet!). But it was removed, and with style (and I was able to resize a house and plop down a keep).

I started out 21 in the queue. It moved for a few and then got stuck on one number for nearly an hour; about 10 minutes later, and a few moves up the queue, he showed up.
I timed-out a few times & it kept on ticking (this is for people that wonder if they lose their petition if they log out: you don't).

(I hadn't paged for a GM in eons. And all I usually read here are negatives about the encounter. So I thought I'd make note that I saw the queue numbers change, saw him and had good results.)

Dangit you! I was all ready to reply to some negative thread too!!! Its good to see a positive GM review now and again. It puts us all in the mood for wishful thinking. (a great tactic too I might add!) Now perhaps if we can get people to stop paging on those whom forget to wipe and I think we may have something. (this will turn that 80 minutes into 10 or less mebbe!)

The times I"ve interacted with a GM have always been pleasant ones. Even when a guy was using blistering language at one, he never lost his cool. THey are always professional and entertaining.

However, I paged one last Sunday because I'd placed a cypress tree on my roof too close to the ladder. The result was that I could not get onto the roof, and I couldn't pick up the cypress. So I paged, asking politely if someone could move it for me. This was at 11am Pacific time. SIX HOURS later, at around 5pm the plant was moved for me.

Now, it's great that it was done, but it wasn't like I was 254 in the que or something, I started at number 18! What's up with that? IT was just ridiculous and I said so in my report.

The staff is great, EA needs some lessons on customer service.

I thought I had read many months ago that the GM(s) didn't actually work down the que but rather by priorities. That may be why it took so long for you get an item moved. Normally if I page, I usually get pretty good results, but then again I don't go around paging on everyone in Fel for using a curse word or if I suspect they may be cheating.

Are you seriously calling Origin a Test shard? LOL Shame on you!

Honestly, I was just being sarcastic about sending him to Origin, I do believe your right, they roam over many shards and not just assigned to one.

Any Gms I have ever called that did come, were really polite and helpful. I only wish that they would show up alot more often when you call and not send those canned messages at all. I detest those messages!!!

the queue and line aspect of GM should be taken out of game. Im pretty sure it was said long ago that its no longer used or accurate. you just page and wait.

they DID take que out of the game.... around when ML came out, but ppl complained that they wanted it back so they knew where they were in line, so they put it back, BUT its just numbers not really where u are in line

I paged a few times to get a char fixed, was in que 25 for 2 hours , still there & a gm showed 2nd time i was que 15 & went to 9 & got a message that i was fixed
