CFO Help

Okay here is the deal...I cannot crane I stink. I realized how much I need this skill today when I wanted to CFO and realized that most everyone can stomp however if I can crane it can put my mind to ease that I can do both. I would like any tips or insight on how the heck I can learn crane. Thanks!

The easiest way to learn is to try it with friends. The first few times pick up and throw only goons. When a safe is close to you pick it up and throw it close to the wall at another crane. When craning all you do it use the arrow keys to move the crane and hold CTRL to pick up the goon. Swing the cran towards you and then towards the CFO and release when it looks like it should hit the chest area. Rinse then repeat.

For me, this was purely practice makes perfect. Try to get a little craning practice every time you do the CFO. Even if you have to give it up and let someone else take over because you are falling behind, you got a little experience. You could also let someone else throw goons and have a safe waiting to hit the CFO with when you see the stars flying or a safe on his head that needs knocked off. This is just like anything else, the more practice you get, the better you will get and the easier it seems.

I agree with Zippy - get a little bit of practice each time you go with friends, picking up safe and throwing them to the other craners. The first couple of times I tried to crane, I couldn't do a thing but watch that magnet swing wildly and pick up stuff I wasn't even aiming at. I'd panic and jump off. These were with randoms and there was usually another toon who'd jump on.

About the 5th time I tried, I actually hit him once with a goon and did damage. The most recent time I tried I hit him 3 times that actually did damage. Each CFO, I gave up craning after a minute or two so that I could help stomp goons to keep the better craners safe. But each time, I felt just a smidge more confident that I could figure it out. Maybe next time I try I'll get to hit him with a safe.

Trish gave me some good advice too - watch the shadow of the crane to see where the magnet actually is swinging over. You can kind of tell how far out it is and which way you need to pull it with the arrow keys.

Oink Oink, you guys know that there are those of us, (meaning me), that cannot stomp or crane at ALL!! I have gone sad almost every time I had to stomp. I do usually hit him once or twice with a goon, but it seems like I let go of the goon too late cause it ends up back on the floor.:coco:

Any advice would be great!!:bowdown:

I only HAVE to do 21 more to max this one, but first I have to do 58 more mints as I go along!!:loser:

Ok here goes, How I crane:

First thing I will do in any CFO is grab the 2 safes closest to me and put them behind me while i crane. What I usually do is use the bar that holds the cranes wires to line things up and not the magnet. When you grab something with the crane, use the bar on the ceiling to line up with the CFO. retract your crane all the way closest to you and move it forward. Once you have the crane moved all the way forward, let your magnet catch up. When it appears that the object you are holding will hit the CFO BELOW his Eyes, release the object.

To remove a safe from the CFOs head, I find it works best if you try to "lift" it off instead of knock it off. What I mean by that is hit the safe on the bottom lifting it up instead of hitting it on the top.

I only have limited time right now, so this may seem confusing as I have written it. Any questions, comments or if you want to take a practice CFO with me, let me know.

Heh I used to be so bad at stomping, I would jump right over the goons, or I would jump int the light, then over it.

As for Craning, Momentum is your best friend. After about 5 practice cfos (and like 20 mints) with the same person, I can do both with no major problems, and I dont have to be picky about it
