Skill Jewelry and Form-Changing Spells in Publish 56
I didn't have a version of the question handy, but this has come up a number of times. Currently, if you use skill jewelry to increase your skill, cast a form-changing spell (such as Necromancy's Vampiric Embrace) then remove the skill jewelry, you remain in that form.
This will be changing in Publish 56. What will happen is if you lower your skill past the threshhold to be able to cast that particular form-changing spell, (whether by removing items, using a soulstone, or even using the Test Center set skill command) you will revert to your normal form. This will affect not only the various forms available with Necromancy but Magery (Polymorph,) Ninjitsu (Animal Form,) and Spellweaving (Reaper Form.)
Not that. About tamer powers: as a dexter now can face a boss quite improbably, it should be the same for tamer: loweren their strenght (even in pvp could be nice)Like if you take off plus jewels from a tamer the pet becomes unbonded? Not unreasonable.
Those super arties for purchase. Is that a bit too much? Buying artifacts from NPC already crosses the line, let alone super arties. They will be available for purchase via a collection box in your Faction Stronghold
Rank 1: Rune Beetle Carapace with additional +3 to all resists
Rank 4: Crimson Cincture with additional +5 Dexterity
Rank 7: Spirit of the Totem with enhanced resists (instead of the linked resists, this version has Phys 20% and 10% in each of the others)
Rank 9: Folded Steel Reading Glasses with additional +10 DCI
Rank 10: Ornament of the Magician with additional Mana Regen 3

Players need a reason to do faction, not necessary need a boost like that.
Does that mean powergames has to be in faction to compete?
I am pretty sure imbuing will come at least a year away from now and its detail is unknown. So for a year, faction owns?It might be a bit much, or it might not be. Who's to say that we won't be able to create items that powerful with imbuing?
Well, hopefully factions will somehow tie in with new content.I am pretty sure imbuing will come at least a year away from now and its detail is unknow. So for a year, faction owns?
PWNT!!!! How does that kick in the teeth feel hmm?Skill Jewelry and Form-Changing Spells in Publish 56

More questionsJeremy, can you please clarify a couple of things about the new faction items that will be character-bound:
- Will they be faction-blessed or will they need to be insured?
- Will they be hued for the faction you join?
- If you leave that faction and join another one and gain sufficient rank, can you wear the item again or will it only work for that character if it is in the same faction as when the item was purchased?
- Will the item be usable by that character if it transfers between shards, rejoins factions (same or different one?), and once again earns sufficient rank to equip it?
Do the Dev even know what frigging game they are working on? There are 0 items in game that add to spellweaving. That's just embarrassing. This will affect not only the various forms available with Necromancy but Magery (Polymorph,) Ninjitsu (Animal Form,) and Spellweaving (Reaper Form.)
So the players with real skills in those categories will lose the forms if they are discorded? Not saying it is bad, actually I like the change, just a question.Skill Jewelry and Form-Changing Spells in Publish 56

The skill requirement for the different form spells are exploit fixing. Face it, making sampire template using jewlries/soulstones is cheating and should be stopped.I wouldnt worry about anybody using vamp form any more other than rp reasons. No reason to use it now for any template really. Not even necros need it. No more vampires of any kind. Peerless will be dominated by tamers mage bards. Wont see a dexter there anymore. Faction players wont need to buy any arties or even do peerless so that market is gone. Why would players doom hunt then? Man this is gonna be bad for the pvm-merchants community. Gonna trow another bone for this communtity now that pvp community got there bone?
Wrong. As was said over and over again, Sampires weren't the only ones soloing bosses. As for dexer's role at peerless/doom, the change will make them unable to SOLO the boss.
Then they should lower the requirements of vampire embrace to be able to be cast whith jolt. The skill requirement for the different form spells are exploit fixing. Face it, making sampire template using jewlries/soulstones is cheating and should be stopped.

For super arties in faction, as I stated in my earlier post, it seems a bit too much unless the purchase prices are extremely high.
This has to be one of the most ignorant comments I have read so far today. We can kiss another spell goodbye. Vamp form will be as useless to anyone now.
Funny, I could say the same about yours. This has to be one of the most ignorant comments I have read so far today.

LMAO!!!! TRUTH!!!!It's beyond an apples & oranges argument - your point is more like trying to argue that Watermelons and Coconuts are identical.
Yea, about that..... if you attempt to cook an entire stack of items, you get the gains as if you would have cooked them one by one. (You can test this right now by trying to cook a stack of raw fish steaks.)No one ever asked for dough to stack. When working cooking, you use dough because it doesn't stack! That means you don't have to drag one off the pile to cook 1 at a time for best gains.
Jesus, its no wonder people are quitting in droves.
I say vampire form in itself is kind of useless for a necro am i wrong? But people soloying peerless It doesnt have a damaging effect. I dont care If someone can solo High end monsters it used to be nobody could solo paragon balrons or balrons by them self or any doom boss but people adjusted and now they can. Stronger monster than peerless will come about no one can solo it then somebody clever will find a way. Its just how it is. I just change templates to be able to do what others can. thats my challenge I see someone doing what I cant and I learn from him and try to do what he do. The end of sampire is true cause that require skill items and high end suits to even attemp the template. Alot of practice to learn how to work specials.
Now The begginign of something else will begin or return of a old template.
Am telling you Uo needs more variaty not im a paladin, barbarian, wizard, archer, bard template. It's being done to death. But paladian-wizard,samurai-vampire,Bard-tamer-mage. these are unique templates that you mix and match which makes uo what it is. If it wasnt like this then we all play diablo and leave it as that.
hah...carebears...Well face it, changing the skill+ didnt do a darn thing. People just switch to wraith form dexxers and imo they were better at soloing anywaysAnd wraith form dexxer uses no exploits so im hoping all carebears can finally live without being jealous or whiny about it!
I dont understand one thing are people complaining you can do this whith skill items? If they made vamp embrace able to be cast whith 0 skill would people complain about it? Vampire form in itself just alows you to use wep that dont have life leach so you can have more variation. Has a mana regen increase not sure how much but you can easily get that with mana regen items that could replace the higher fire equipment. Can automaticaly protect you from low end poison just like a orange petal can but useless to high end poisons. Cant use cure pots at all and gets damage whith mage spells that use garlic. and a huge penalty with fire ressit that if you had 100 necro u wouldnt want to even bother using this spell cause of all the negatives and little benefit when you can use curse wep and your med to relplace any benefit vampire embrace gives you. Oh and useless in pvp.If the tamers were doing "the same thing", you'd have a point, Connor. They aren't, and you don't.
BTW, I've seen plenty of tamers lose their pets from jewelry not equipped when they thought it was.
They're not piling on 70 points of skill equipment to tame, THEN TAKING IT OFF, and still being able to use their pet to its maximum effect (without the jewelry, they can't use it AT ALL), the way a sampire does with the necro jewelry.
It's beyond an apples & oranges argument - your point is more like trying to argue that Watermelons and Coconuts are identical.
Oh, BTW, don't try that I'm a tamer trying to defend their actions - The only tamer character I have has 87 taming, 91 lore, and gets about 10 hours of play time a YEAR (and all of that training and vetting) since I created it 3 years ago with the 8th age (or was it Gold that came with it) Advanced character token, because I play meleers almost exclusively.
My template wasnt nerf lol I have my solo tamerim sorry your solo temp was nerfed because of changes to ONE SPELL, but get over it. this doesnt end an era as the spell still works the same as it was intended.
also...this problem wasnt harmless...as you might think. it had some pretty heavy implications with both pvm and pvp. perhaps look before you leap next time? research first....post later....thanks
