2D and KR Clients Updated

At 12:00PM EST, the KR and 2D client patches will be updated (KR version 2.54.0.6, 2D version 6.0.9.0)

UPDATED 5:15PM EST: The missing ethereal horses will be fixed in 2D version 6.0.9.1, which should be out at about 5:30PM

- Updated clilocs

Uh...

I doubt that the KR patch is really only cliloc updates... it's 170 MB :gee:
Hopefully some nice new artwork for the event!

Some stuff was added to one of the anim files, but I don't know how to get it to show in InsideUO to give a picture of it.

15MB for 2D, for text? Nope. 170MB for KR... For text? Nope. C'mon, tell us what you're hiding, at least say 'event content'.

Also, Patcher still hates me, :(

Well, it looks like the new artwork was also added to the 2D client, and it looks really COOL in InsideUO.
Won't post anything else for those who don't want to be spoiled.

Seems it was added automatically to "ML Animals" in the InsideUO animation viewer, but I don't know if it's reading them correctly still... the animations don't seem to match the listed actions.. guessing some table for that part needs rewriting?

As for my impression of the art.. it looks very nice, and like a lot of work was put into it, but it feels like it would fit better in KR than in 2D (it's too shiny, and doesn't have 2D's well defined borders).

Magnus is the comic book robot killer.

But. They drags look great. What are they for? Or we dont know.

i haven't seen any strangers ingame, but just with what i get from the boards; my guess it that its the strangers' true form?

Last patch caused some trouble for me . Seems to be patch related. I noticed that today my Summoned Fey Spell does not target my Pixies first as it had in the past. Now they attack me as the main target. Use to pets were the 1st target. Am I the only one noticing this? I am on Origin.

A little more testing shows it is not tamed pets but summoned pets that are not being targeted. My tamer's pet works like it always has. But the mage and spell weaver are getting smoked being the primairy target in high spawn areas. posted this in many threads about the patch.

Hopefully this is new art for our beloved dragons. As it stands right now ALL dragons and drakes share one graphic file in KR.

I'm almost certain that the new models have a KR feel because they were created for KR, and then imported into 2D. Personally, I don't expect EA/Mythic to mantain an art team for both clients (in fact, I thought that the art team was already 110% busy creating art for Warhammer...) - so I have no objection if they create new art for the higher resolution client, and then downscale it to fit the older client.
At least these new models look much much better than most 3D models added to the 2D client since LBR, since they were originally rendered in high resolution.

Do you suppose this will also corret the invisible Ratmen in Despise?

I cant for the life of me figure out how something like Ratmen being invisible was overlooked in this patch. Is there any quality control at EA?

Try doing a despise level 3 when you cant see any rat mages!!

At least it's good to know that EA is spending valuable time on turn in items, because we all know that this is way more important than bug fixes or game balance. I would swear that the people in charge of EA are the same dimwits in charge of this country.

It was a flaw in the build process, not an actual change. The file that has the animation data got corrupted. (It's also a flaw in our publish process, in that we have a test server but not a test client, so the whole world gets to deal with issues like this, but that's another story, and something we're working on.)

Wow, I can't believe you answered me, considering how belligerent my posts usually are towards EA.
