New vet reward: Commodity box: Bug

Is there anyone else that cannot secure these? I say "I wish to secure this" and target it. I get no message that it is secure, and check it - and it's not secure. Anyone else get this bug?

I took my box to a friends house, and they were able to secure it.

I'm still trying to find someone to give one up for a decent price, I'm not forking out over 500k for a 1st yr reward I only have 2 months till my next pick. But on TC they worked fine. Try it on diff tile types see if it's the same or maybe it's just what type of tile you use in the house.

Did you try with a different character? Sometimes a character is bugged and can't do things in the house even when on the house-owning account.

I took my box to a friends house, and they were able to secure it.

I didn't have any problems locking my down. I had to lock it down twice because I didn't like the first spot I'd placed it and it worked fine both times.

On another note, I've got to say I'm loving the hell out of these boxes. It's made stocking my vendors much, much, MUCH easier. I just wish I'd had one when I moved...twice....a few weeks ago.

You won't see one for 500k anytime soon, if ever. Next to the soulstones, the commodity deed box is by far the most useful of the first year rewards, if not all the vet rewards. I sucked it up and popped out 5mil for one because I could see how much of a convenience it would be for stocking my vendors.

I seriously doubt you'll ever see them at less than 2mil, if not more than that, just because of the demand there is for them.

Yes, you misread it, but it wasn't entirely your fault. What you interpreted to be account-bound was them trying to state that it could only be placed by owners/co-owners (who are the only ones who can secure an item in a house - friends can only lock down).

The logical interpretation of what was said was that it required a house owner/co-owner to place, but the ambiguous language in one line could be interpreted that it was account bound (even though the rest of the description pretty much made it clear that was the case), and a bunch of EA-bashers started partying hard with the obvious misinterpretation, to cause chaos.

they're an awesome tool, but I've done without for this long I can hold out till I can get my next pick rather then paying outrages prices for a 1st yr vet reward.

When you try and select the item it says it will be bound to that character which is where the confusion is.

Yeah I love these boxes. They make things so much easier. And Im not having any problems with mine either. Ive secured and released mine several times. Worked fine each time.

I unlocked and resecured 2 commodity boxes in different houses even, no problems there. Just out of curiosity was the char you were using the owner, co owner or friend of the house?

Hmm, I just released mine in my Sonoma house and then secured it again. House had 72 available storage with the box unsecured and 71 available storage once I secured it again.

Aye mine only had 65 so that's not it.

Sounds similar to problems I've heard before. I'm surprised I didn't see someone mention this.
When you get the targeting cursor up for securing, target a pack horse, or other animal in your house. There's a good chance it'll say something about honor.
Then, you can try securing, and it'll probably work.

I had a problem like this a couple weeks ago, except i had the issue with EVERY item in house. It also was as bad as i couldnt release items either. This is for Kotan and anyone else with theses issues. this is a rare glitch that randomly happens causing the client not to secure or release items in your own house. Ive been assured by the nice people over at ea cust support that it is not a hacking issue etc. --THe fix, page a gm, wait 4 hours, they will tell you to send email to uobugs, send email, then go send email to ea support telling whats wrong and what actions youve takin and that your fed up with this sh*t (be more polite), then they should reply in 24 hours or less with a incident number and instructions telling you to page gm again give them incident number and viola 5 seconds after that my sh*t was fixed.
