On the main uo.stratics.com page, when you click on any of those news / event / etc items, when you scroll down it has a link to discuss article.

Can those be linked to thier corresponding threads, and not to the generic vboard.stratics.com page.

Also, on the same page where it has recent posts by EA Devs. There used to be a link on the old system to search all posts by the Devs..can this be put back rather then having to check each individual EA Devs link.
Some devs post almost daily other ones post once in a great Trammel blue moon.

Thank You

This actually has to do with the UO Reporter not correctly inputting the Forum Posting link into their News post's Discussion Link field in the form they filled out.

Edit: Also, some of the news articles do not have corresponding forum threads. This is because of how archaic the uo.stratics.com site coding is, it's not very compatible with our new forum, so this makes it more difficult for News Reporters to get their articles automatically posted (like it was before), so many take their own time to make the forum threads manually. We have the UO News System on the (huge) list to be looked into, however there is no ETA as the list of things is rather large.

Regardless, this will be looked into. Thanks for the heads up on this!

(If I have the time later tonight, I can go in and manually fix some of these I think still.)

To UO Reporters reading this, if my post confuses you as to what I mean here, please Private Message me or email me and I'll be very happy to explain step by step.

This address is the generic forum help address. For UO Stratics specific issues, it will be far quicker to contact us at [email protected] because using the other address to contact UO Stratics causes delays as the email has to be received by other Staff and then Forwarded to us at [email protected]

Cheers,
~Orvago

Just wanted to update, I went in and fixed about 15+ articles and added in appropriate links. I haven't the time to go back and fix anymore. Was trying to at least get the newest ones updated.

Cheers,

I'll clarify a bit further :)

The issue of the dev post tracking is being looked at, however, at this time (as of this post) I cannot set up a link for *all* dev posts. I *am* looking at alternatives, and waiting on answers to some emails I have sent.

The link issue is a bit more involved, and although Orvago did fix some posts, the real fix is to again integrate news posting/forum posting again like we had it before. On this issue too, I await answers and alternatives.

Do feel free also to PM me or email me direct if anyone has forum ideas or suggestions!

- Aye, I personally found the Dev Post -link to be immensely helpful in regards to passing information from UO-to-Stratics' readers. Actually, that was my long-time link to Stratics.
I tell ya' what...
Give me (& others that are willing) exclusive access to a new forum called ~'UO Developers' Posts' and I will try to update it as much as possible :) ;)

If I cannot easily duplicate (~cross-pollinate, err, populate?) their original posts, then I'm sure I can make a new post with a subject that says: ~'Jeremy: -blah, blah, blah....' with a link to the original statement; all of which could be contained in its own forum with unlimited viewing but limited posting access.
Is that possible? If so, PM me, heh.
