Is it phenomenally higher with 120 magery than with 110 (or 115) magery?

If it is the same as regular spellbooks then according to Stratics it goes like this:

"When crafting a spellbook there is a chance it will get up to 3 magical properties. These properties can be Faster Casting, Faster Cast Recovery, Lower Mana Cost, Lower Reagent Cost, Mana Increase, Mana Regeneration, Spell Damage Increase, Intelligence Bonus and a few mage related Skills(Magery, Eval. Int., Meditation and Resist). All the properties can be up to 80% of the intensity range they normally spawn in.

The amount and intensity of the properties on a spellbook depends on your Magery skill. At 80 Magery you can get 1 property, at 90 Magery you can get 2 properties and at 100 Magery you can get 3 properties. At 110 and 120 Magery you can still only get 3 properties, but you will have a higher chance of getting them. "

Haven´t crafted any Scrappers yet though so I don´t know...

I would also suggest you deck yourself out in magery items.

Crystalline Ring
Tome of Lost Knowledge
+15 Bracelet
+25/25 inscription tally
10/10 magery/eval mark of the travesty (if possible)

The more of the above items you wear the better the chance you have at creating a better book.

Are you saying that having + magery items on when you are already 120 real magery makes a difference?

I never tried it

Yes, magery items above the cap. :)

The items stack for the purpose of inscribe only. Works great for making slayer spellbooks too.

I would like to see a documented source for this...

This works completely differently then how all other systems are designed. It has never been doccumented to work this way. As far as I know, it doesn't work this way. It seems like people that swear they get a better chance at getting a decent runic made item if they use a +60 ASH and a +25 or higher exceptional talisman although that (to my knowledge) has never been doccumented either.

It could be that you just believe you are getting a better chance because of streaks in the RNG.

Thats my guess too. It doesnt seem right that every other skill works differently.
People swear their talismans and ASHs give them a bonus to crafting runics (above the always hitting exceptional bonus), and that has never been documented and AFAIK was never designed that way.

Its funny what some people do in the belief that it improves the odds although it doesn't actually do so.

Like luck suits? Hehehehe.

Its shame that there will most probably never be a definite answer.

Its been stated TIME AND TIME AGAIN what luck suits do. Its been stated that they only affect monster loot over and over. People just don't want to believe that for some reason so you end up having people swear by wearing luck suits to Heartwood lol.
