Fun At The Twisted Weald

I have been in the Twisted weald for the past few hours.

Originally started off by gathering keys from gnaw and the 2 spiders. I eventually got to the stage where I had 3+ of each key, and cotton.

The problem being, Irk is stuck on the rocks at the teleporter. I am there alone and cannot reach Irk. No matter what I do, Irk will not move off the rocks and just casts on me when I am on screen.

At 3.30pm GMT I paged for Gm help and since then 5.34pm GMT (over 2 hours later) I have been no 16 in the que for a GM.

This is not good.

Does anyone know if a GM would help with this and dislodge Irk, or is it a case of waiting for server down for things to be reset?

**Edit, just checked back there and noticed that at 5.32 I had gone from 16th to 15th... Hooray, progress :/

Yes GMs can and do dislodge creatures. Based on your wait time, we may be back to where we last weekend - the GMs were redirected to another Mythic game. I really, really hope this isn't happening again

Well, I've noticed that mobs don't move when noone has that data on their screen. Ever try to recall to a place that was being blocked for a really long time? That is usually a mob that isn't moving because noone else is there to cause it to update. Anyway, you could try hiding. If nothing else is around for it's targetting, it may just fly off the rocks on it's own. That could be an option. If there are targets for it then you could try removing those targets. All while waiting for a GM to show up, of course.

yes.. I too have had this situation, I too paged a GM.. waited a while.. no gm popped up in game.. they just reset IRK.. right next to me. nearly killed me.. so watch yourself.. .. it will happen..

Thanks Ni but i have tried everything, it wont budge. It doesn't target anything but will target me when i come on screen...

I'll just need to wait a bit longer and see what heppens. I'll be lucky if my keys haven't expired by the time something happens here...

Does he still seem to cast spells when you invis? If so, he may be targeting a pixie near the entrance. Try going to the entrance and killing the pixies that are hugging the walls trying to attack Irk.

Tried it all, nothing worked

Giving up on GM after 3 hours of waiting in the que.

This is, quite frankly, ridiculous. Its things like this that make me wonder why I bother to log in.

What you need to do is get off screen and make sure IRK isn't agrro on yourself or anyone else. Then he will fly about his business patrolling the Twisted Weald.

GM isn't needed for this...patience is.

Get off screen away from irk and wait and he will fly away from the rocks. If he is agrro he will 'stick' or be 'trapped' on the rocks. When he's not aggro'd he is free to fly around.

One other way it to get a Greater Dragon and throw him on Irk and kill him via Breath Weapon. I do agree that 3 hours is way over the top in waiting for a GM.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. The Weald is a fantastic place to play don't give up or give in despite this experience.

Patience? I spent a good hour trying all manner of things to get it loose, but nothing worked. He wasn't agro'd when i drank an invis pot being on the same screen but yet he remained there. I was all over the place including outside of the weald altogether and when i came back, the beast was still in the same place lol...

Believe me, if i could avoid it, i would never normally bother calling a GM because i would expect a lengthy wait and a canned response, however in this case I had no choice. EA really outdid themselves in terms of sloppy customer service this time!

Reading this thread must have the scripters running scared !
