Replying to herald update feedback.

Hi Jeremy:You requested some feedback on the porting of uo.com to herald. Found that the Stores button on the left hand side is not operating and goes nowhere, but I was expecting uo gamecodes there. Big issues with CONTACT US leads to only this: "http://support.uo.com/contact_info.html",which yields this: "KNOWLEDGE BASE AND CONTACT INFO".That is one big white blank page of uselessness. Also still would like to see this feedback page and any pages that require account name and email info to be secured with https protocol.

Also, there are a number of pages that are in the "support" section that really could be put back into use. For instance, the "Shard Issues" page hasn't been used in over a year.

Shard Issues and FYI are now covered by the main Herald blog - I'm actually getting those links pulled, since that's not where we put that info anymore.

The housing and boats section:
The upper icon (that is missing) is for housing info
The lower icon (that is missing) is fro the boat info
BTW, I like what you have done, the new home page art graphics, updated areas, easily navigable, all around; good show (*claps* "Bravo"). There are just some small things here and there that once fixed, the Herald will be fine tuned website.

THe search function for the playguide is gone. Horrible! I used this ALL THE TIME (and ya, I'm a vet, so there! )

I think the little search bar needs brought back.. I don't see it.
Picture of the Week should get an update on myuo, and be moved back to the home page.
Player Establishments should be moved to the homepage. (What happened to these?)
There should be a link on the homepage with all kinds of screenshots and stuff of UO taken by players (makes sense)
Bring back the ol' community spotlights. (last one in 2006)
Add in a page where we can send in player fan art or even comics.
Shard News has not been put to use in YEARS. (Located in player fiction)

Basaclly what I am saying is hmm, add in more attractions..

Britannia News Network should be apart of the homepage, like it use to be... The devs still post their game fiction, but whatever happened to player sending the devs some fiction and posting it on Herald?? We havn't seen things like this since around hmm, iunno, 2001!! Very out-dated..

THAT is an example of a community page.. Remember, the stronger the community, the better that UO will be. And UO has a weak community as far as I can tell. Everything in the community section on UO Herald should be entirely player created, add in a comic page, player stories, contests, real life events, fan art, fan wallpapers, audio/video created stuff, should all be under the community section.. This will work, the players will send it, then all you developers have to do is post it. Not to hard right? Also bring back the community spotlights on the homepage..

I mean, Ultima Online is seriously behind the times..

Actually, there should be a media section on Herald imho, where there is wallpapers, screenshots, music, movies on it, submitted by the players.. Good IDEA yes?

because I have saved links to them I can access older BNN articles, but the search function in the archives section for it will not let you search anything further back than 2005
