why not move the delete button

its so big in KR why would they put it there ?? even with the promt just seems foolish
It is right next to the login button and is nearly just as big. You can' just double-click your name to login like 2D, so there are times you will accidentally press it.

It's a little disconcerting at first, but I've never had an issue with it. I think I hit it accidentally once and simply said No to the confirmation gump.
Personally, I think the BIGGEST change they need to make on that screen is to allow a double click on a character name to log the character in, then the Delete button becomes a non-issue as peple are used to double clicking a name to log in (Hell, I've used KR almost exclusively since it came out and I still try to double click to log in instead of hitting the Log In button).

would be great if all Charactors were password protected.

They used to be WAAAAAY back when (early 1998)... a secondary password for every character was needed) but it was taken out as too cumbersome and too many "lost password" inquiries.

i like the idea of a second password and think they should bring it back as an option if you dont want it you can set that in settings or on your account page
I mentioned this also during the KR beta, that the place is not a good choice.
As far as getting another gump you have to click yes on - who did not misclick a dialog in Windows causing an unwanted action just in the heat of wanting go forward?
I would pack this button somewhere in the paperdoll menus of the character, so the character can only be deleted if logged on already - and then a gump with all its possibilities can come up.

Devs, why cant we have a gump saying... You still have X items in bankbox, Y items in backpack, and Z pets in a stable, on a deletion process. If the deletion is ok, then prompt account password.
Dont let the deletion be finished on only by like 3 clicks or enter buttons.

In another game I tried called Requiem they make you type in a "Pin Number" of your making b4 you can log into a char or delete it, I think it would be great if they implemented this, hassle as it may be think about the extra security there would be?
Say someone hacked ya and got your user name and PW, they still wouldn't be able to access any of your chars or delete them if they didn't have your pin number. And it's really cool how they set up the key pad, you have to use your mouse to click the number on the key pad and they shuffle after every click so even if someone puts a mouse clicking tracker on you they will never appear in the same order cause the number keys suffle on the key pad.
I personally thought it was cool, but I don't mind the extra work for the extra security.

I'd like the ability to modify the login window (not the .lua file), then we can put the delete button wherever we want or even disable it.
