WAR IN THE GUARD ZONES

Hello all!

Publish 55 shipped with a bug that dropped guard zones in towns across Britannia.

This also dropped restrictions on placing houses, and several reports have come in of people placing new houses within towns. We have since published an update to fix the town zones.

Our stance on whether these houses will be allowed to remain is an unequivocal "No." If you placed a house in a guard zone, you should remove it immediately before we remove it for you.

(This will not affect grandfathered houses that have already been there for years)

P.S. The guard zone changes are slated for Publish 56, and will include all the other changes (that didn't slip through accidentally) for the war.



Apparently, allot of people missed this in Draconi's post. They are all miffed over the housing in guard zone issue so much that they totally missed this tid bit of info. I am VERY interested in this "WAR" that is going to be occurring in our towns/guard zones, more so than someone being silly enough to purchase a house/keep that was placed in a guard zone yesterday. Give me more info on the WAR.

Going by the events we've currently seen, the "war" would be faction based.

I'm not seeing the "P.S." part of that quote on UO's website. The only text I see is:

This rumor is false

Guard zones in Felucca for the cities will be affected in the manner already mentioned (gone). Trammel guard zones will only be affected by the invasion of individual cities.

Now back to topic Can we plz They say invasions from other towns. K. The only two towns that come to mind is Old Haven and Magicina. SInce they are both gone LoL. Maybe some undead from Old Haven find a teleporter or something?

Its all about feelings after all. The fact that there would be zero real impact from reds being in Trammel is lost due to the rampant "We hate reds so don't let them in Trammel so we won't have to have nightmares about them after seeing a Red name" set.

According to Draconi's posts; Guards were not removed from all towns, just faction towns. Nothing has been said about gates or gate areas. Final question - I'm sure the answer is - This is an EVENT.

THP, WTF is your problem here? This thread was started as a thread about Draconi's mention of WAR in one of his posts, and until azmodanb HIJACKED it and turned it into a housing whine section (like the locked thread from yesterday), it had absolutely nothing to do with housing. So, if you are going to make a blanket statement as pathetic as the one you made, you need to take a large spoon of your own medicine and stop whining and hijacking threads as well. Stick with the subject, or if you where referring to the hijackers, call them out by quoting them instead of blanket statements about the entire thread. Sheesh, can’t you people stay on subject for more than ~30 posts anymore?
