6th slot was available with 7th anniversary edition then given away free as part of each subsequent release and was standard with all copies of ML.
They've done it before they can do it again.

They stated when they allowed people to purchase the extra slot and the extra storage that the ONLY reason they were doing so was because SA was delayed, and that both were intended to be part of the SA package. What would be unfair would be for them NOT to include it, since they already said they would.

I purchased the upgraded storage/7th slot when it became available, because at the time we were being told that SA was only going to be available to those who use the KR client. Had they said SA was going to be in 2D from the start I would have never purchased the upgrade. How is handing it out free to everyone who buys SA fair to those of us who already paid for it under the impression that we wouldn't be able to get it unless we played KR?

If they want to give away something free to people buying SA, it shouldn't be something that they have already charged other users for. Regardless of "it being made available early because SA was pushed back" or not. If they are going to give something away for buying a box, they shouldn't be releasing it early and charging people for the same thing.

You'll have been able to enjoy the use of it for 2 yrs more than anyone that didn't purchase it. Besides, as someone else pointed out, it's not free if you're paying for an expansion to get it.

We haven't decided what exactly is going to happen with slots and SA, but we're basing the decision on the current situation, not the original plans of more than a year ago.

In that case, the current situation is that there are a lot of people that didn't buy the extra slot because they were expecting to get it with SA, which they would then use to create their Gargoyle character.

There is no way SA is going to be free. EA needs to make back all that money they poured into the Kingdom Reborn client. I would not be surprised if they decided to price the expansion higher than we are used to, $35 or perhaps even $40.

Personally, I'd like to see another character slot added. With just one more I think I could fit just about every type of character I want on one account.

Now if I could just find a way to get 2 houses on one account I'd be all set.

I would have liked that. I bought the 6th character slot. Then When they came out with the 7th character slot and I bought it. I had to pay twice to get a 7th character while others only had to pay the fee once. That sucks!!

you were paying the early adoption price when you decided you couldn't wait for the 2 years for SA to come out - you got 2 full years of use out of the 7th character slot - you got your money's worth - stop complaining

I pay $14.99 per month for a single Wow account, $14.03 a month for a single UO account.

Wow does not have housing, so I need only 1 account compared to owning several UO accounts just for the houses.

Wow has tons more players and goes after cheaters full throttle, UO does not have tons of players and makes limp-wristed attempts at stopping cheaters.

Wow is really the better deal dollar for dollar, so EA best think very carefully before attempting future rate hikes for UO.

EA obviously took The Cheapest Route they could possibly take with KR, they can't now expect us to believe that that mess cost anyone more than a few thousand dollars to make.

I already have my 7th character for all 3 of my accounts to be fair this is what i think should be done. SA should come with an 8th character slot for no extra cost for those who already have 7 characters. for those who have 5 or 6 characters they should get there 6th or 7th character slot for free with SA.

• The upgrade option to get a 7th character slot should remain for purchase. and the ability to get your sixth character should also be available with the required upgrade still.

• So if you only have 5 or 6 characters now when SA comes out you should get your 6th or 7th slot for no extra cost. but to get your 7th or 8th slot you will be required to buy the upgrade code that is currently for a 7th slot and also required to get the upgrade that gave most of us our 6th character slot if you haven't got them yet. that is if you want a 8th character.

That way it is fair to everyone in my opinion

Yea why not? Why not try to experience everything that UO has to offer? I have swordsman, mage, archer, crafter, and tamer. But when the new skills come out I would like to experience that also. I think having just one character is really boring.

I purchased both of mine seperatly. I got my 6th slot with an upgrade code from the 9th anniversary box I bought. Then a few months down the road I purchased the 7th character slot for the same account.

I think that an extra slot should be included with SA as some areas can only be reached by gargoyle characters, to not include it would make me feel as though the expansion was incomplete. I do not have a spare character slot and insufficient soul stones to put a whole characters skills on, so why should I miss out on part of the expansion (new gargoyle areas) because I spent many years slowly training a diverse set of characters. As for cost I must admit I find it more and more difficult to see why we should be paying more and more, I have been playing D&D online for a while now and we get expansions every 4 months at no extra charge, as well as GM help has always come within 10 minutes.

As you can see in Jeremy's quote above, it was not an 'early adoption' issue. It was decided that the 7th slot would be rolled out as a separate feature from SA because of the delay.

They should definately give an 8th slot.. both of my accounts have 7 finished characters. 15/20 scrolls and all stat scrolled. Instead of calling it an 8th slot, call it the SA Slot, that way you can keep it separate from the 6th and 7th slots and still make all your money from selling the codes.

I'm not going to delete one of them, and apparently there will not be a quest to turn to Gargoyle.

If it's possible, my prefernce would be that SA comes with a char slot added to whatever number of char slots an account already has.

I have 7 slots on both my accounts. I will be making a gargoyle one way or another, but I don't want to sacrifice a char to do it.
