Soloing Barracoon Spawn

Hello, what is a good template and strategy to solo the Barracoon champ in Despise?

I have heard of necro/mage or a bard/tamer (using a g.dragon). been thinking about transfering over to a less populated shard such as legends or even an asian shard to give this a try. (I would prefer another person with me, anyone here interested? we'll split the scrolls 50/50 then xfer back to our home shards and make a ton of money hehe) at least make back the xfer token cost but most of all have fun at the same time. btw- I'm on Atlantic, tis IMPOSSIBLE to spawn!

and for those who have soloed or with 2 people, how long did it take you to finish barracoon?

i play a necromage for spawn using repond slayer spellbook.

20 Min for spawn
10-15 for baracoon

1 Swordsman/paladin w/ soul seeker + throwaway radiant scimitar (for the slimes)

20 min for spawn
20-30 min for Baracoon

I've only soloed an Ilshenar spawn, I won't go near Despise without a group.

i was thinking about this temp: 120 mage/eval/med/necro/ss/resist, for melee defense use staff of magi or swords of prosperity. but yeah i can see how the repond slayer would help.

The spell book is a Repond Slayer...it effects the Ratmen and Barracoon making the spawn faster to go through and Barracoon easier to kill. Wrestle really isn't necessary as most I've seen running it solo simply spam Wither to kill the spawn cast EV's in areas to help while they move on by and while fighting Coon use Wither to kill off the rats he summons to aid him during the fight.

Aside from the necro/mage, whose weakness is in the actual killing of the champ, Pally Swords with a soulseeker and a good hard hitting second weapon w/mana & stam leech + vermin slaying tali. I personally don't think the soulseeker is good enough for killing baracoon unless you have to use it. It will NOT take 30 min to kill barracoon this way ... more like 10.

When was the last time any of you guys actually did a baracoon? They added more HP to him. And if you melee him he moves around. I just dont see how you cats do a baracoon solo under 20mins. I call BS.

Barracoon has a lot more HP now but it takes the same amount of time to kill the spawn. Someone said 15 minutes on a necro with a repond slayer spellbook. That seems about right. Sometimes you have to go wither spawn to get mana. Before it took like 5 minutes.

If you want to do daytime spawning, it's better to have like a group of 3 people with one good PvP'er to fend off any small raids.

Keep in mind on an Asian shard you will ping high and lag and die a lot and it will be very hard to PvP. Also the shard downtime is like in the middle of the day. Be sure to turn off the language translator it does not work.

Just because Legends is "less populated" doesn't mean that it doesn't have Despise on lock down, so I wouldn't suggest going there unless you desire to give your spawn away when the coon pops.

Necro tamer would be the template you would want to make it go fast. Coon still takes awhile, but with a single greater dragon on him it does go relatively fast. Your best bet would still be to get a knight of justice to protect you so that you can get 12 scrolls instead of 6. However, that person couldn't attack the champion.

Last time I killed Baracoon was a week ago, so ya, I know what I am talking about. Bushido - honor + lightning and EoO + Consecrate, Bandies, Confidence and Evade, Whirlwind for the side spawn.

As for him moving ... if you know what you are doing, you can pin Baracoon in places he will bounce, but never get out of your range. You can do this in 2 places in Despise (one on the island, one off), one at Ice West, one at Ice East and one at Marble.

I use a Pally with Parry and 110 fencing. Get a vermin slayer token and a 100% damage area weapon. I generally just drag the early spawns in huge groups and slaughter them with the area damage. This works pretty well through the entire spawn. The last wave is better tackled with a weapon with a high amount of Mana/Life leeching, as stated above.

As for the time it will take, my hubby and I take out the spawn and the champ about 20mins. Takes about an hour and 15 for a Destard spawn :\

Yeah, if you think going to pull off "easy" spawns on a "dead" shard, don't go to the US shards. Even the less than populated ones, usually have a guild who "owns" it. I know on Lake Austin, the guild who "owns" it (not using names!) uses a ghost cam program so when they play their more populated shards, they can come back and raid the spawn and go back.

Interesting side note: I soloed Rikktor the other day, took about 1.5 hrs. When I finally got rikktor alone and starting shooting him, he took 645 arrows and about 30 minutes... This was with a reptile slayer shortbow with 35ssi and 44di, and honor so about 284 total DI after achieving perfection.

I watches someone finish off Coon, not the spawn but just Coon in around 30 minutes solo...though that's including the time he spent running off to get rezed twice and fending off the solo raider that came through.

It can be done in under five min solo, discorded - chiv sampire - with soul seeker. But then again without people defending your gonna catch a hot one and die then again as long as the coon keeps poppin other rats you could solo it with a whole guild attacking you and you just keep getting life back from rats and won't die
