I'm happily surprised to see this place is still up and running. I figured at the rate things were going, stratics would have pulled the plug for sure!

So, anyone still around from.... a bloody long time ago? Kelmo - still mod'g i see. Sucker for punishment!! *winks* Max Blackoak... still here. Good for you. TBB still alive and kickin or are they a part of SP history now?

Gotta be some others kickin around? Any CWS, LDH or Taxmen still playing? Is Py Lethius still around?

Unfortunately a lot of our shard history from the last 4 years died with the old forums. Unlike most of the other shards, the Siege boards were a pretty good record of what folks were up to.

Py is long gone.

As far as I know, Blind Otto is still stumbling around in the dark as the leader of a much reduced KSS.

I think some of CWS split off into the new guild called GIL, but I think some of the old CWS crowd still have open accounts and wear the tag.

As far as I know, Sgt. Schnizzel was the last of LDH to leave a couple of years ago...I was there when he dropped the LDH tower because there was no one left to bequeath it to in the guild.

Atticus/Callandoar was gone for a long time, but recently opened a new account.

I have not played actively for over a year, myself, but still have 2 accounts open. I have at least logged in every now and then to do housing deco. I spend a lot more time here.

I am currently playing WoW with Castor (M*A, KSS, CA), Mac (KSS), Chenonceau/Paul Bunyan (KIN), Kiera Willow (KSS), Severina/Fabienne (CRG), as well as a few others that play or played UO that you might remember.

Yes, we all had to make new logins. Reader's Digest version: a few months ago, the Stratics servers were accidentally wiped due to a data center work order mega boo-boo, and it was then that they also discovered their outsourced disaster recovery service was only in the habit of accepting money, not actually backing up data. A bad combination for sure. They had to use a data forensics service to recover what they could from the wiped drives but a lot didn't survive.

Since your old user name was different than your new one, the admins may be able to merge your old posts (if they weren't lost) with your new account, if you email your info for both the old account & new to them. But it seems like most people, like me, lost all their post history.

Sounds like a good crew in WoW - hope you guys are having fun.

They are surely among the best to play with, anywhere.

Mangar was one of my favorite people when I started playing UO, so much fun to be around...but I haven't had any contact with him in probably 3 years, when he stopped playing.

Hope the the Tax Minister is doing well in his retirement. We do miss you popping up here and there...but we do not miss paying taxes!

Mangar disappeared into the spirit world around 3 years ago. CWS is still here but many are away from Wispwood fighting faction wars under the White Council banner (WCB) so you may not see familiar names in the CWS roster.

The old timers still in around and in CWS are me, Bruin, Kush, Imasho, Dru Kennaru, Kronos, plus Oracle (Spartacus), Felinious, Kuzara made a recent comeback. Kush's sons and a handful of citizens you have not met are also around and about.

The Auraglade still stands and will remain standing and our banners will still fly and remain flying until the OSI gods decide to wipe this land we call Siege Perilous of the face of Sosaria.

I too have moved on, but still lurk, ans post occasionaly. Oddly, these boards are still among my top 3 visited sites, though I haven't actually played more than a hour or two here and there for a very long time. I have finally given up hope that EA's UO will ever again be a game I will enjoy playing. SA may change my mind, but I seriously doubt it.

Are you by chance looking at Darkfall? If you are, and didn't already know, they are now taking beta applications.

In any case, good to see you're still kicking. You and others like Wulf, and Py have left voids that can never be filled in the Siegian Sosaria. Nice to see you drop in..

Great to hear from you, hope all is well in your world. I log in here once in awhile but the fire to play UO has left me, but a spark hits now and then.

I talked to Mangar about 1.5 years ago, but have not seen him since.

I to played with Skylark and crew on the WoW server they are on...they are a great group to run with as well.

I miss the old days of the Shire, and you and I deuling once in awhile, while you tried to teach me things, plus the great RP we tried, still remember chasing you throgh Cove one evening.

I have not been around much in the last 2 years or so, off and on playing, this and WoW. There is a 70 level rogue on Ravenholdt server, that well if he had a hat he would *Remove it with a flurish* ..as I named him in your honor.

The money is coming so fast that if I don't log for a few weeks, I have 10-12 pm's from crafters worrying about not getting my money to me in time. It's quite hilarious actually. Of course I done a much better job and advertising, negotiating and contacting my marks than you guys could have ever dreamed of.

Heh, I suspect that anything Dagashi and his team of agents lacked in revenue they more than made up in flair and creativity. They were collecting TAXES not mafia style protection money.

I recall an occasion long ago when Dagashi stood in the snow next to my bakery, negotiating a luxury bird tax for the bright blue hiryu I was riding (that happened to match my dress), while his idle entourage of agents ate pies and discussed back taxes owed by the knights of Wintermoor.

You won't find many old SP players ingame. A few is still hanging around here but do not play at the moment.

However that can changes fast. Alot of our problems and imbalances had got a fix so the shard is worth playing again.

The shard had got alot of great newer SP players, they do replace the old ones nicely, you just need to learn to know them.

To you and other old Siege Vets, come back and play the game we have now and stop dreaming about SP year 1999-2000, it's not coming back.

Same here, Dag. No kids.. but new games and new work drew me away a long time ago as well. One thing I miss however are our sparing sessions at the Yard. Not sure if it was my learning curve or your patience that gave in first, but I sure did learn a lot from ya back then.

Good to see you're still kicking around. I'm playing Sony's grown up version of WoW with Winter (house used to be right across from the Yard) and a few other UO-Retirees if you ever decide make it in that direction.
