Now this is one crazy idea to allow this house to be placed this close to a bridge that is used to cross over near Trinsic. If this person make this house private, it would limit access to the bridge.

This is in Tram (Napa)... I don't remember seeing it this close. I think they resized it with the new house resizing option.

In the housing perimeter code, it must just not check for bridges.

We have had a tower on that bridge for years on Siege. It has never been an issue.

It's actually been possible to place a house there like that since they messed with housing rules last (pretty sure it was when they made it possible to place over all sorts of plants and rocks?). I've seen it happen on several shards from time to time.. really sucks when they make it private just to **** people off.

The proper fix would be getting a gm to move the bridge, as housing has been in thoses spots longer than dirt... no one loses out.. cept the person who's feeling like they need to get their guns off.:gun:

Agreed with JC, you can walk on the sides. Ive seen it before. Nothing will interfere. Its just something else that someone found to gripe and complain about.

I haven't been in game for a while, but how does the whole "house resizing" work? Does it just demolish and place another? I am sort of lost...

There are houses there on many shards. I think it's possible that the house was there before the bridge in many cases. Regardless it's a valid spot for house placement and has been for a long time. I have yet to see anyone make it private on any of the shards I play on.

Someone had a private one in Lake Austin one call to a gm, I went offline. Came back next day and poof. Gone!!

Yeah, lots of people travel the roads near Trinsic. rolleyes:

They should level every city except Britain and Luna and let people build houses in the resulting open space. I get sad walking through Trinsic and seeing nobody. Ever. 10 years ago, the place was packed with people in the training rooms, and stables, and bank, and blacksmith shops. Now, people skip into town to bank and are gone.

If that house becomes private, it becomes an issue. Do not count on one persons opinion. I just started UO yesterday, what do I know.

Exactly, the sides are still available for getting on and off the bridge. No one is stopped by house being marked private in that location.
