Elemental slayer works on the dark father?

My friend told me that an elemental slayer (actually poison elemental slayer) would do more damage to the dark father than a regular weapon. as far as i know since its a daemon (daemon slayer), elemental should do the same or even less damage than a regular one, isnt that right?

Elemental slayers do work on the dark fathers, although demon slayers are more effective. You can get double slayers (demon/elemental on the same weapon) that will do more damage than demon slayers alone, unless you are at the damage cap.

so all the elemental slayers (blood, poison, shadow, etc) will do more damage to the dark father than regular ones??

whats the logic behind that, since its a daemon not an elemental???

Elemental vs Blood Elemental are quite different. Elemental is a "super" slayer ... effective on ALL members of the Elemental family alike. Blood Elemental slayers are double-damage only on bloods ... Earth Elemental slayer double only on earthies, etc.

In this case a Demon/Elemental slayer would damage DF both in the Demon (Abyss group) and Elemental groups. A Demon/Blood Elemental slayer would do only Demon damage. This page has a breakdown of the groups and MOST members of them.

ok but looking at that chart Dark Father IS listed in the Daemon group, and IS NOT listed in the Eelemental group, so I don´t see why Elemental do damage to it

Elemental slayers of any kind do 50%extra dmg, Demon does 100%.

Don't matter how you stack it the 300% cap stops it.

Weapon -------------------- 100%
Slayer --------------------- 100%
Weapon di,
talisman,
some armor,
jewelry --------- max is total 100%


Cap is still 300%

I always run 100% exter damage (cap is 100%) and that leaves no room once you hit weapon, and slayer damage.

The buck stops at 300%

Yes I have used water el slayers and done more damage that with a normal, its weird that any el slayer will do extra damage to DF but it does work.
