query for dexxers....

without anyone giving away any trade secrets, I have two questions for the dexxers:
1). what is the "typical" stat spread?

2). what is the "typical" template?

I ask because whatever experience one brings here to Siege from other shards is only valid to a certain point. Things here seem to work differently.

Well lot more variety with dexxers here, due to no recall/sj, mana being more important, and 1h weapons opposed to 2h for pot use...

Whats currently dexxer flavor of the week? nervestrike deathstrike sword build prolly, also seen a few chiv dexxers around. *shrug*

45 int

It is hard for me to balance swing speed, hit points, and mana.

If you are running healing have high dex for faster aids, if not then calculate your weapons max swing rate and adjust your dex to hit that SSI cap. anything above that is a waste put it into mana so you can use more specials.

I humbly disagree. If I'm using a weapon with 30SSI and base 2S I usually run something more like:
90/40/125, with elf form. The is no mana potion, but there is strength and agility. And most dexers if they simply had more mana for that AI or double swing would get you. Just make sure to carry agility/str pots, petals, etc.

Ya, it really depends on the template. You'll never see an archer with less than 110-120 dex but many assassins you obviously will.

Well if you use bandages you're gonna want atleast 120 dex AFTER a pot bare min.

also you can use sta gear to help your swing speed out for weps but not for bandaging.

So says the guy who only hides at moongates and dies where he stands half the time. And if he cant kill you in 2 hits he has to smoke bomb for safety. More mana = more specials and more healing with confidence. Higher dex is absolutely worthless above the swing cap of the weapon. Hell my Int is so high that even without any Resist i am left with about 20 mana when mana vamped so i can still hide,heal,or attack.

Well he said dexer, for other templates this is not the stats of choice. take Darkness for example, he was not a dexer, he was more of a necromancer than a dexer, which is why he ran these stats....

He only had 250 stats and I think it's fair to say Darkness faired pretty well against most people. At that time in UO dex was waaaaaay overrated and only a handful of people realized it. The ones who did had a huge advantage over the ones who didn't, which will explain their success over the "also ranch". Now imagine only have 35 dex swinging a double axe (very slow weapon).. and killing everyone in your path. Think about that overnight.

That's funny cause that's exactly what my stats were when I 3v1 you and your goons, and I used a weapon that only required 30 dex for max swing rate. Imagine that! Dude, are you ok? I have a very simple explination for your question, the answer is I run a number of different templates on cheapsuit, one which requires magery and lockpicking, chivalry with both med and focus, etc. etc. So according to my pic I was obviously runny ninjitsu at the time, and as you very well know, there are no stat soul stone tokens and it takes a while to reset your stats.

So are you saying since my stats were obviously not reset at the time, that you were inferior to me with my 100 int? I don't care what stats I had on at the time, according to you all I do is sit at the moongate and jump people, so there is NO EXCUSE for you laying on your back with your legs open.
