Question about very old account

Hi all,

I played Ultima Online in the time 1999-2000 and recently have enough time to start to thinking about playing again.

I have an old account from 2000 without any meaningful characters. Is it better to start a completely new account or should I reactivate it?

Also, what is the cheapest method to get all expansions? Do i have to buy ML and KR or do I have to buy all expansions?

The cheapest way is to try and find a 9th anniversary box that will get you everything up to the present. If not all you need is the ML expansion. KR is just a client DL and cost nothing.

So, since my ~8 years account was inactive all the time and thus no veteran rewards are possible, its better to start a new account i guess?

New Account goes for like $14.99 and Account upgrade for like $34.99

if you banked items when you left it might be worthwhile to reactivate.... things that maybe weren't worth a lot back then may have become a collectible while you were gone

I don't think there are any items on this account. I only used it for getting more holiday gifts. Unfortunately i sold my main account back then.

Very old accounts age when inactive. From the herald on account age:

Any account created before November 30, 1999 will automatically be credited for all of the time from the date it was created until November 30, 1999. In other words, if you created your account on October 30, 1998, your account would be credited for 13 months of time, regardless of whether your account was inactive during part of that time.

When I reactivated an account after dormant for that many years, all my chars and etc were gone but I had over a dozen vet rewards I could choose. My 2nd account was created after 1999, so when I reactivated it I had to wait a few months to ride an ethereal.
