But seriously I agree.
If they had taken the hard stance against cheating from day 1, the game never would have got the reputation it has. Hundreds who have quit in frustration over the dupes or scripters would still be here. The negative reputation would not have kept hundreds or thousands more from ever joining in the first place.
And all of that additional revenue could have meant further improvement to the game.
I suspect there aren't any.
The simple fact is EA is all about the $. And every banned account means lost money - whther it was banned for a real reason or not.
So there is no reason for them to ban without cause.. it is bad business.
I'm not saying they cannot make a mistake, but given the fact that the bannings were based on ownership of large quantities of duped items, I don't see much potential for error.
