While fighting someone today (Bo?) I got hit for 59 with a death strike, what are the factors in it doing this much dmg? My suit has all 70s resist etc. I know hide, track, etc factors in, but I've NEVER been hit that hard.

He probably has high stealth and got you with a tracking death strike. I don't think deathstrikes go through armor to do damage (or atleast they used to not)
Well Bo of KoC got me. Pitchforks are nasty if you don't protect against HLD

LOL Deathstrike is nasty ( Max deathstrike damage is 60 after being tracked about 2 screens ) 120 ninja stealth 100 hide track
Ive never seen Bo lose a 1v1 in the several years we've played together.
And nobody talks in the third person quite as eloquently as Bo.

I wonder if you'll be teaching GIL how to run from deathstrikes..
Resists don't matter with deathstrike. At 120 ninja, you're dealt 40 damage every time. If he tracked you for 20 steps, he'll do an extra 20 damage.
He either had 120 ninja and tracked you for 19 steps or had a little less than 120 and tracked you for 20+.

Well Bo first ran after getting below 50%, then tried to gank me with NyM, then got heals from NyM. It wasn't a pretty win but I'll give it to him. D why don't you hop on your mage and duel me or be quiet? You're terrible. I was talking to Rasputin and DaGon about you yesterday and we were LOLing at your claims to be a good mage on this board.

Bo doesn't need pics, I'm admitting I legitimately got beaten by him, I started the thread before he killed me, when he hit me for 59 damage. I usually have a rule of thumb to not fight anyone that runs more than twice....but sometimes I let my competitive nature get the best of me.

I don't claim to be a good mage anymore but when I played one on Chessy I was in the top 3 if not the best. I've since stepped away to various other games and rarely even play UO now. I also believe it's a much different game now then it was when I play alot and played a mage. I don't see any skill involved with templates, it's really item based. No one person is going to be able to fight 20 people these days like I used to because they made dmg so huge on everything from weps to spells to pets. No skill, all items.
Dueling is dead I don't know how much I have to tell you this or if you'll ever realize it but being able to cast 4th and below mage spells really fast isn't impressive to me. You can have that title if you'd like it but don't for a second think you or anyone in Champs or all these idiots in M you keep mentioning ever held a candle to me.
I'll field fight anyone I come across who is attackable even if I'm way out numbered just like I did on Chessy. I don't expect to ever see you attackable whether that be as a red or in factions or on the pvp field in any form.
Even with the item based crap I still do pretty well. I'm not as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was. I fight tnt, TO and others outnumbered all the time but it's just to pvp as there is nothing to fight for anymore. To specify, I have no reason to fight for scrolls or artifacts or items or respect from trash like you. As far as I know I have more gold then anyone on this shard outside of two people which are both in KOC, I don't need items and if I did I'd buy it. When I dueled on Chessy I faught guys that were the best because I felt like I needed to beat them to be classified as good. I rarely lost. Now I could careless what some idiot on this game thinks of me or my skill as a player I just play for fun. Some of us growup I guess, you might want to try it.

Ok Bo sees that Bo needs to start back with the lessons in combat tactics. When Bo is fighting multiple targets (3 or 4 vs Bo) Bo will pick the biggest coward of them all (if evermore is on the field that would be the target). Next Bo would attack that target and do decent amount of damage to the target. This will cuase weaker targets (such as evermore) to run for the hills (actually he runs to Umbra). Thus leaving Bo to only have to fight 2 or 3. And Bo sees this as fair odds, becuase we all know Bo is the best around and no 1 can bring Bo down.
As for Speedy dieing, it happens he was outmatched by a more skilled opponent. Bo recieved no heals during the final fight, you sir got explo poison off than tried to heal thru Bo's awesomeness. When you died Bo was still poisoned.
With enough stealth, tracking and hiding you can still get 60 point deathstrikes. I played around with a template that was capable of 75+ deathstrikes for a while but it was too hit and miss, fyi deathstrike takes effect before a weapon hit when using evil omen

Actually most of those resources are from years ago that I'm trying to get rid of. You might want to buy them before I run out because they will be damn hard to find pretty soon, especially in bulk.

Bo was the only red and he is a hider.
If there are reds in KoC, lets see them.

thats not true, after about 3 hours when they had 12 guys on and luna was completely empty besides me and krystal HaHa logged on his red for about 10 mins, then he got REALLY low and logged on gerbler again for the rest of the night.
Calling someone out for being a blue when that is all that you play. That is ****in classic man!

I don't think you will find too many people playing reds because of tamers and those on reds are on stealthers or inside a house 99.9% of the time unless they are with said tamer. So your wasting your cries. Please reference above if your also going to cry about no one to fight.

Hehe, true, im just a bit squemish with looting because I have a habit of crashing when someone collects their loot. Definitely made me tighten up a bit when you used the self res and your loot shot away, luckily no crash. Hats off to you on the second fight for a well fought 1 v 1. Bo was fighting 4-5 of us? Look I'll give props where props were deserved, but out first encounter, you ran out the West gate and all the way around, and when I found you next you were fighting 2 other guys and had NyM there with you. Our first encounter, you ran after 50% life. It's better than Toucan Sam today though whos weapon kept hitting me for a whopping 7dmg today
