Can we get an extension on Melissa quest?

It seems unfair that we don't get 2 week notice on Melissa quest. I just recently learned about this quest. Some others have been killing her for a long time and get all the good stuffs like crimson cincture and artifact armor pieces.

It only takes a couple of hours to run both segments of the entire quest chain with every character on an account, and that's including time needed for the first character to mark runes for all of the characters that follow. We've already gotten an extension until Tuesday that was not orginally planned for, so in essence, you've already gotten what you're asking for now.

Unless you're just wanting weeks to farm it on [young] accounts too, in which case I'd say stuff it. I'm sick of seeing young players down there with Melissa, lined up 5-6 in a row, bragging about all the RL $ they're making.

It is not about doing the quest one time. I see people using their greater dragons kill Melissa thousands of times because it is the easiest way to get an artifact like crimson cincture and armor pieces.

It seems maybe they just switched it off on europa as u can no longer use the password to get in.
Also, just before i exited, Mellisa spawned and only said a few words then vanished.
Saying Eored seemed not to work either after she vanished,
(nothing about waiting etc)

Cant seem to find Casca on Europa. Shame, I haven't been in game much of late and only picked up on the quest by accident yesterday, oh well.

Password no longer works to get into her area on Baja. However I've not tried to get in the previous way. I'll check that and post if it works.

I was the same way. All you see in there is young players coming in, throwing a few potions leave, come back with another young character. Im glad this is over with.

When I say "recently", I mean until 4 or 5 days ago. Believe me or not, I did not know about the quest until 4 or 5 days ago. I may see titles regarding this quest, but it is blank to me because I don't know what people were talking about since there are so many Mardein's Legacy quests I thought it is just one of them. Before that, I thought this current patches are about cleaning your houses. There is no information at UO's official site regarding these quests. Next time, I won't trust UO Herald as much. They have lost all the creditability for me.

If you are referring to the "splash screen" you get when you log into UO? Then you may have a point. However, that isn't a new issue....We've all known for years now that the UO splash screen can't be trusted. Yes that's bad, yes that's the team's responsibility, yes they deserve chastisement for it.

However, given that it's well-known that the splash screen is useless, it also can't be used as a reasonable rationale for missing.....Well, anything. Unless of course someone doesn't visit, or post on, these boards.

Everyone misses events. I've missed probably dozens in my time.

and people do this with a variety of things at lady Mel, dread horn, grizzled, shimmering,, doom, etc..
carefull where you are swinging that nerf stick.
