EA should take note of this. We are absolutely desperate for any type if official info on the current situations, someone can post on these boards, saying they are whoever, and we will accept what is said without question.

There were only really a few people who believed him.
A rule of thumb I usually go by is that if there's nothing to support their claim, then their claim is unsupported.
Unsupported claims should always be questioned. Not to be a pain in the arse to the person making the claim, but because misinformation is worse than no information.
In the case of Devs, they usually get a little reddish (v) shield.
Actually, I think it was the real Speedman. He did stop by to say howdy on my blog and on Tomas' as well. But seeing how we're on new forums and all that jazz, it is indeed wise of the Mods to get confirmation from Jeremy. An imposter would suck, but so would stoning the real guy by mistake

- Aye, I was shy to stone the real guy but felt it worthwhile to make note that I questioned the situation (of which I only did in public). Now, if Speedman is back with EA, specifically with UO, that would sound great; but I figure he would have a different username if he wanted to say hi while he was still working with Sony. The user's first, second, and third posts all set off alarms for me; third especially.

This is why you shouldn't put your title in your name. Another lame-brain EA move which makes people think anyone with EA in their name is now an official representative. Why does Stratics even have the special VIP title? Just get rid of it because EA's policy is obviously superior.
I only saw the first couple posts, but "Speedman" wasn't even making any sense. You are exploiting by viewing the client files? What a joke.

I did indeed stop by a few blogs this weekend, but I haven't made any posts on Stratics in a LONG time. So, if you see a "visitor" with a name resembling current or former dev asking you to PM exploit descriptions to him/her... don't.

In general, we won't ask for PMs for exploit info. I may ask for people to email info to me directly, but if it isn't me and they don't ask you to send it to an EA email address, I'd hold off.

I doubt your imposter did any harm as he wasn't around for too long.
But I did notice he visited my username details yesterday before he was.. detained. He might have had a few people pm him UO exploits because that was the last he asked for ('no banned account info. / just bugs-exploits-dupes') in all of his 3 posts (first post was to send in bug reports to uo.com, heh). Just didn't sound very legit to me. Hope I didn't breach any protocols by sharing the foul.
