7th is there, but what about 6th character slots?

The knowledge base really doesn't help, since it sends me to gamecodes which hasn't sold 6th char slots for a long time now.

So how exactly does one get all 7 slots if they currently have 5?

If I buy the 7th will it also give me the 6th?
Will it work at all since I don't have a 6th?
Or will it just become the 6th and I'm stuck forever with no 7th?

They really need to put someone to work on the KBase. Most of the info there was obsolete a year ago, and still hasn't changed.

An Ultima Online 7th Character slot code will give you a seventh character slot on all shards. (If you only have five character slots, this code will bump you up to seven.)
