Most of the pvp'ers i see now are using weapons made from duped hammers, i think its about time for a total item wipe. the only thing more pathetic then this is EA's total denile of the issue.

How do you know they are from duped hammers, it did get easier to get runic from BoDs so some may be legale.

Yet again a post asking for carpet punishment.

Surely, SURELY there is an AUDIT trail , a simple LOGFILE of transactions where these things can LOGICALLY be traced.

Im all for DUPES BEING DELETED BUT

Im NOT for deleting items folks have bought/gained/accessed by LEGAL, NON Nefarious means.

Heck I see BRSK at 2m that I have had a chap say to me Ill pay 2.5m for them, I buy them

This does not make me a cheater

This does not invite EA/MYTHIC to ban me, or remove these items.

A SIMPLE AUDIT TRAIL to detail HOW these items were created....

If they are duff...remove em...BUT deduct the money an honest player spent from a cheaters account BEFORE CLOSING IT.

Even simpler, DONT LET THEM BE DUPED in the first place, a simple couple of lines of coding on admin side can stop these things..........

They have NO way to tell what weapon was made with a duped runic and what wasn't. All they can do is try to punish the people duping or knowingly dealing in duped goods.

I think it has gone well beyond that point. Duping has permiated the UO community.

I personally would be fine if anything I own that was created as a direct result of a dupe got deleted.

Of course... everything of mine that I really care about I got myself, and know isn't a dupe. I can always re-build any of my suits over time, and do good enough with a sub-par suit during the time I'm re-building them.

What can i say, now that all the leet pvp guilds are overstocked with these totaly overpowered weapons. its just a little unfair to the rest of us. you'd think to be fair to the entire player base EA would do something.

EA please stop living in denile and fix the issues, banning the people with hammers is not enough, you need to remove the items created to.

would be nice but the code is so ancient i doubt they can track things like that

or care to...

Isn't this your second thread on this topic?

Also can you imagine the reaction if after what they have already done, they also did what you propose?

they can't do this. i don't think it's even possible for them to tell the difference between the product of a legit hammer vs a duped hammer.

secondly, unlike the duped hammer they came from, the items were probably not sold at bargain basement prices to people who likely suspected them of being duped.
