Melissa is still there on Legends too. Unfortunately I was the only one there so I left. Casca is also still in the ethereal fortress. Hopefully they won't end the event until tonight.

This event has really brought out the best in everyone who plays; it's been a blast working as a team with random strangers, everyone looking out for everyone else. 'Course, I've been rezzed more times in the past couple of weeks than I probably have in the whole previous year combined, heh -- I must have a big ol' "Oi, Melissa, hit ME" sign on my back -- but the cool part is that there's always somebody there to rez me.

I'm in full agreement with you there.

What I thought was intersting was when I went there two days ago, early in the day because I'm in Europe which meant that Catskills early is my "I just got home and want to play" time, there were a few other people there. Every last one of them were in guilds who aren't supposed to like GRI (my guild, there are a LOT of guilds that don't like us).

Still, without a question, we cross healed, ressed each other, and swore that if we ever saw each other in any other given place, then we'd simply HAVE to kill each other a time or two.

Still, it was nice to be nice for a change.

Nah, the exploiting SOB's that have been running non stop through the 2 chain parts have had enough. I've been watching the points total, and it's been going up by 30-40 MILLION points per day. That's more points than we had for any single phase of the turn ins when they were turned on. That's flat out ridiculous. Enough is enough, it's time to turn the thing off.

I agree to an extent. But what about those people, like me, who don't have the time to devote to the quest during the week because of work and family. About the only time I can do it is on the weekend. And although I know it's no one's fault but mine I was on vacation all last week and through the weekend so this weekend is the only weekend I would have to do it.

I agree with a once per character limit helping cut down the number of event items flowing in from this and since it was for a pretty limited time these items may actually come back up to a decent value.

Keep Melissa until Monday and stop the tickets from spawning. I have seen more young players in the Melissa room in the past 2 days than I have seen in UO in the past 5 years all they do it chunk potion after potion. If you attack any creature while you are young, your young status should go away immediately.

I've seen 15 DIFFERENT young players, all dressed exactly the same. They have numbers for names. It's enough to p-ss off someone that plays legitimately and doesn't cheat the system in order to make RL $$ off the game. It's one thing to make gold honestly, it's another to exploit an event like this.


Please tell me Jeremy, WHY IN THE HELL didn't you guys learn from Magincia that young players should not be allowed in event areas? The only reason they're there is to exploit their young status, and thus exploit the event at the same time.

I will have to say I lol'd for real when I saw spanish #2 go down from an imp that he hit with his explosion potion, and no one would rez him.

And btw...I'm looking at 6 young players all lined up in a row, all obviously run by the same person, waiting for Melissa to spawn again.

I agree with this too.

The only thing they did seriously wrong in this event as far as I'm concerned was to allow it to continue for so long.

Honestly, I would argue we could have done with one more week of The Six, and one less week of this.

But overall, on this one they got more right than wrong.

Allowing us to repeat the Melissa fight, but not get the event items more than once, yet also having high-end loot for Melissa, was a great decision.

One of the little things they got wrong was that she wasn't a hard enough fight relative to her loot table.

But overall? Nice job.

I Knew about the murder quest and did it....
Now the melissa Quest is now on my list in hopes to get it done before they turn it off...

the melissa quest is actually part of the murder quest. After you talk to ulrick head over to the wisp dungeon. You need to go down stairs to the room where the statues and evil mages are. the pass word is martoovehlkxrisspince. Stand on the pentgram and say that. You'll be teleported into a small chamber go into the north east corner where it sparkles and you are there. She is fire weak and greater dragons work great.

I liked the event with Melissa.

It's not one of those things you can solo...it requires team work.

I'm very pleased with all the people i've spend some time with at Melissa's room.
They were all very helpful and chatty.

First off thank you for the quick reply about this second half of the quest and yes it wasn't so bad because of all the ungodly amount of people in the room...all you afto to do is get a couple of hits in and you get the ticket and cloak....and for the life of me "whats with the cloak" is there someting special you afto do with it ? but non the less...

i agree totaly.

young or even trial accounts should not be allowed to participate in events nor go into dungeons. there is no need for them to be able to.
even true trial people can experiance enough in 14 days without going into dungeons.

Yep, a pretty pearl necklace. It appears on her body, and doesn't seem to actually do anything; it just looks nice.
